Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The grinder

Nobody with a loosing or even a .500 recored will grind in you don't have to worry about that. I would not be surprised though if all 4-2's make it in. (jr's and Sr's only)

If they come out beforehand and say they're going to have X invites, how can you be sure? It's all dependant on how many people show up.

That's my guess on why they don't say anything beforehand, to avoid that happening.

Will they be handing out POP ID's this year at the LCQ? Is someone who has never played pokemon before going to be able to play in the grinder providing they are handing out POP IDs there?

Of course you can get a POP id at the grinder, so you will be able to play. Even though you haven't played before. :)

chances of winning is sooooo slim...i just hope the side events are good...
Side event are not just good they are FANTASTIC. 8 person Constructed tournements run non-stop, win one game and get a prize. Prerelease tournemetns, sometimes 2v2 tounements. Pokemon Leage runs non-stop play a game and the winner could win a prize. Not to mention my favorite thing about worlds is the 24 hour Open gaming room. The perfect place to get a pick up game against players from all over the world.

I will never miss worlds as long as I have the ability and means to get there.

thats making me happy, coz i don't wanna wait and sit and watch my brother play all sat and sun and having nothing to do =) hope the prizes are as good as you describe side events too !

The first year we went to worlds we got so many prizes from leage that we had to buy annother piece of lugage just to take them home.

Yeah, the side events are great. There was even a DS TCG tournament back in 08, and the winner won a DS.

(It was for the TCG xD my bad)

I really wish they would announce how many are going to be in each group so people could decide if it's worth their time going.

As it stands, it feels like they're being silent in the hopes of encouraging more people to come, regardless of how many people are actually going to be allowed to play. And I believe that PUI has already decided that number.

They may know the number of "Im coming to worlds" players, but that number doesnt mean squat. Someone can get real sick the day they are suppost to leave, or something can divert the plane, and thus, not make it in time for worlds.

They HAVE to wait until the "pre"-registration is concluded to give out final numbers. Luckily, if you go to the grinder, then you will know the final numbers first hand, as they announce it there as soon as they can!

On Sunday it's only Top16 playing. Does that mean we have a 64-per-devision tournament or will the Top32 take place on saturday, meaning they play a 128-per-devision tournament?

thanks
