Since I had a much understanding of my list, I had the ability to build my brother a new concept: Magsol-Claydol, which he quickly took a liking to, and tweaked to his liking.

if I remember correctly, I came up with the concept on the way home from OK states; noting that Absol had been written off as "bad" with the introduction of Claydol, and having become sour to Blaziken/Typhlo builds always losing on time. Your tweaks the night before TX states were big though.

It did exceptionally well! It went 5-2 and beat all but the day's first and second. Tina was also in a similar position, going 5-2 and losing to 1st/3rd.
