It seems like a moot point to talk about "crazy" in-game events, because they're just statistical improbabilities.

Our parade. You rained on it. =P

Here's one of mine (this is not so much awesome and crazy as it is depressing, for me anyway):

Regionals 2004, I squeak into Top 16 as the sixteenth seed. I win game one, my opponent (the super cool Dendrobatida) wins the second one, and we go into the final game with only minutes to spare.

My opening hand:

Voltorb
Dark Electrode
Dark Electrode
Dark Electrode
Dark Dragonair
Dark Dragonair
Dark Dragonair

wat.

Here's one for ya.

It was the first weekend of states this year in the fifth round of swiss. I was playing with Amphy with techs, and my opponent was playing Amphytric. I was up on prizes when time was called. I had 2 and he had 4. I had just knocked out one of his pokemon with Amphy, so he sends out manetric, attaches an electric energy and Power Waves my Claydol, 2Crobat G, and Uxie for the 4 prize win. I was shocked.

The look on the poor woman's face when at 2007 regionals when i went second, rare candy charmander to Holon charizard, peal of thunder for 3 energies attach another and DONK U very much

2008 nats: I played Empoleon swarm and did really well up until the last game before the top-cut. The guy I was playing played a deck I would never, ever expect to be played at the UK nats: tangrowth GE swarm. (with Togekiss) I started with a lone Absol ex and didn't draw into any multi energy. Absol ex savagely ripped apart by a Tangrowth with 8 energy on it and a leftovers on it. Move up a Remoraid. Do 10 damage (it's later removed with leftovers). He snipes off my Baltoy. Next turn I draw into a Claydol. He proceeds to KO my Remoraid and an Empoleon. The most embarrassing experience with my Empoleon deck.

I missed the top cut by two places. :frown:

I was playing in the Legend Maker Pre-Release. I had pulled an Arcanine ex from one of my packs, and accordingly built my entire deck around the card. It was a successful concept that found me on a roll, winning my first three rounds. Then came the 4th round.

I played a girl who insisted on misusing the pronoun "me" as we played. For example, everytime she drew a card at the beginning of her turn, she announced, "Me draw." It was apparent that she was also a beginner to the game, taking long turns and asking for help on how some cards worked. The "me" thing was a bit annoying, as were her increasingly long turns, but I tried my best to remain helpful and courteous. As the game went on, I found myself in what I thought was a winning position: I had just used a Magby to burn my opponent's Misdreavus with a Full Flame in play when I brought up my Arcanine ex and used Overrun to hit it for 30 more. I only needed to draw 1 more prize (she, on the other hand, had 2 remaining prizes). I provided links for the people who might not be familiar with these cards.

She used "Return Trance" to put my Arcanine ex to sleep. The Misdreavus's Poke-Body required me to flip 2 heads in order to wake up between turns. My Arcanine ex, however, had a Poke-Body that removed special conditions when I attached a Fire Energy to it. Sadly, I had no Fire Energy in my hand. I counted that there were still 6 Fire Energy remaining in my fairly small deck, so I felt optimistic. Besides, I thought, she'll flip a tails eventually, KO'ing her Misdreavus and getting me that last prize.

As it turned out, I never drew the single Fire Energy I needed to escape the sleep lock. Instead, I remained asleep (or woke up going into my opponent's turn) for 7 turns. Not only this, my opponent flipped a straight 15 heads to escape the KO from the burn condition. Arcanine ex accumulated damage from Dream Eater enough times to get knocked out, giving my opponent 2 prizes and the win. The remaining 10 cards of my deck contained my last 6 Fire Energy.

So, let's go over this again. In order for my opponent to win this game, the following had to happen:

- My opponent had to flip 15 heads in a row to avoid a KO from the burn condition.
- I had to remain asleep going into my turn 7 times in a row.
- I had to not draw into a single Fire Energy during the 7 turns, which was very unlikely considering the high number of Fire Energy I had left in my deck.
- I had to remain asleep going into my opponent's turn 4 times (enough for "Dream Eater" to KO the Arcanine ex).

All of these conditions were met, and so I lost. I stumbled away to share my sour grapes with my brother as my opponent said proudly, "Me won!" The absurdity of the situation has never left me, and to this day I remain deathly afraid of misused pronouns and Misdreavus.

This happened ages ago, but will stick in my mind for years to come.

My only basic was Kecleon from sandstorm. I had no bench. I was up againest a Kingdra EX. Cause of its double weakness I was able to KO it in one hit (160 damage). Then next turn I draw a lanette's to get a bench down!

Me getting T2 RockLock in T4 States in 2006
Me getting T1 Pidgeot in both games in T8 of same States as above
good day for u then. this is a bad moment. last states i was up by 4 prizes, with only one left. i was playing GG and my opponent (one of my best friends) plays a candy and then a scramble on her ralts. her gallade took five prizes in a row, and kicked me out of the top cut (top 8 cut, i would have gotten 6th, but i got twelfth. who cares, i pulled a cress x:biggrin:)

Its a good think you didn't play against my Misdreavus-Rhyperior deck in 07 ;-)

From a pre-release a while back. My openent is up 2-0 on prizes with a fully charged evolution, i'm left with a 40 hp basic and no set up in sight. I top deck an energy in which I use to put my opponent asleep. He flips 20 consucutive tails (going into his turn) to deck out. Probability of happening = 0.0001% (one in a million)

Two quick stories:

1) My opponent played a game wearing reflective sunglasses. The entire match I could see his entire hand the whole game. Props to me, I still loss the game. lol

2) CCs this year: was playing against a Regi build and we all know how many basics are in Regi. Anyway, he starts with lone Unown Q - 30hp, and me with lone Uxie LA. I win toss, attach an energy, game.

Umm...

This is at a CC this year. Kingdra vs. Dark-PLOX finals 1-1
I have a horsea active, uxie in hand, baltoy benched, rare candy in hand, 2 Pokedrawers in Hand, and a roseannes in hand. He has a lone ralts. I choose who goes 1st. I go 2nd and get the donk and win my game. He had 2 unown g in his hand...

Same situation except vs. Dusknoir. I win again.

Lol it was funny.

Oh and here a good one.

I have a duskull active, my opponent has a sableye w/ no energy in hand. he says he is going to donk me, flips the top card to reveal a special dark FTW. I was like OH NOES and he was like OMG I WINZ. lol

not as good as your guys but my freind at school is playing a physic deck and im playing my fire and grass deck. i draw charmander charmelon and charizard in first draw with a few energy's and a bebe's he draws 2 duskulls and a budew. i get my charizard out and beat him but he did get duskoinor out which i one hit ko'd

I once played against a guy who was wearing reflective sunglasses. I was using Gengar, so it was REALLY funny and helpful that I could see his hand. Sadly I still lost. He was quite suprised when I warned him that his opponents could actually see his entire hand.

Top this one.

At a CC I was using Ttar. I need to win my last match to make top 8. I play against a Gengar deck with a STUPID dusknoir line in it. (didnt know he had the noir untill a little to late...) Anyway, after he DarkPalms my only Ttar I am left with a bench of Uxies and such. I eventually KO a Gengar with Weavile, and he hits heads on the KO. Im left with a lone Ttar, down by 5 Prizes, and he only has 1 Prize left. I can't bench anything or he will kill it with Shadow Room. I was considering spreading him to death with ST to possibly take a few prizes at once, and risk losing by Gengars power more times. After a short time I figured out that it would work, so I was forced to Grind for the KO, possibly giving him the game. He hits tails. He sends up 4 more Gengar each one attacking my ttar for about 30 damage because I had only pokemon and energy in my hand by then. Each Gengar I KO'd he fliped tails on. I was sure he was going to hit heads on the very last gengar to bring the game into suden death which he had the advantage. I grind for the KO and he hits tails. Needless to say I was shocked, considering half way through the game I was sure that I was going to lose.

I bet I can top it DP.

I was playing with Gigas, vs Legos. Legos goes 1st and passes.

My opening hand is Uxie, Metal Energy, Water Energy, Fighting Energy, Felicity and Unown R. I play Felicity and discard 2 cards, 2 energy, in which I get 3 more Unown R and 1 Lunatone. I play Lunatone and discard another energy. I discard Unown R and get 4 more cards. Uxie nets me 3 energy Pickup, another energy and a Lv. Max, don't ask why I was playing them. I get heads on all 3 of them, as well as the Lv.Max flip.

You just got donked by Regigigas, even though I had a craptastic list.

I had a Tyrannitar deck, and was playing with a friend at League. I'd gotten both of my 'tars out and pumped, so I just start laying Energies on my Benched one. Eventually, we came to a point where I could've KOed him, but I did some quick math and passed. I kept laying Energies and passing, and eventually he KOs my Active 'tar.

I use Night Maintenance, then Claydol my way back into the Energies I had tossed back in, and throw them all down on my still benched 'tar. I get an Energy Search, and there's no more Energy in my deck, all the Energies that have been played are all on my one 'tar, but there's still one missing. (It was my last Prize Card.) Nontheless, I bring in my baby and swing with 430 damage for the Ko and game. The best part? I never ran Darkrai, and only three of those were Special Darks.

Nationals 08. Game 1.

I was playing Empoleon, agaisnt an Electivire deck.

I make a miraculous come back down 5-1, it gets down to 1-1, and a judge comes over to watch our game.
I have 2 Waters on my Bronzong, I'm trying to draw into a Night Maintenance to put back Holon's Castform, so I can Roseanne's+Coating. I randomly waste an Omastar, de evolving his Electabuzz, amazingly without realizing it I had prevented him from winning (As he had DP Vire in his hand and 6 energy on his active Vire+Switch). I Pain Amp+Cursed Alloy, he has Minun on the bench, after the Cursed+Amp, it has 20HP left.

It's 1-1, I've taken 3 prizes from Cursed+Amp. He has 6 energy on his Vire SW, he needs two for game.
Flip 1: Heads
Oh joy, there's no way he's going to miss a flip now.
Flip 2: Tails
Flip 3: Tails
Flip 4: Tails
=D
Flip 5: Tails
Flip 6 lands sideways, so there is no definitive call
Oh great, he's got 7 flips basically.
Flip 6.1: Tails.
I jump up from my seat in joy and say good game, I Pain Amp+Cursed Alloy for game!

City Tournament in Morrisvile I think, round 2, I'm playing a vespiquen/cherim rogue and I start with a lone cherubi to his lone baltoy. I attach a grass and use cherubi's first attack which tells you to flip four coins and do 10 damage times the number of heads. I roll 4 heads. 40 damage plus 10 weakness damage = 50. Best donk ever.

I just played a friendly with my brother. I play 3 SSU in my deck, and need to topdeck a couple of cards FTW.

With BTS in play I cosmic power then flip heads on my SSU to put my claydol back on the field and use it's power again. Repeat for every heads I get on each of my SSU. Still didn't draw what I needed...

I was playing in a tournament with Dialga G/techs against a new player who had a starter deck with Slugma in it.

He flipped 5 heads in a row to paralyse me with Body Slam.

When I eventually won, he sighed and said 'I knew I should have bought the other starter deck!'.

I'm playing Blaziken + Electrode ex at a CC back in 2004. Game one my Blaziken ex is prized vs. a Fighting-heavy deck and I don't draw it in 3 prizes. Game 2 I have Pidgey up 2nd turn and Candy in hand, Celio and both Pidgeots are prized... as are both Electrode ex.

This wasn't at a tourney but one time in League play I was playing MetaNite with 4 metal and 2 Multi. on my Mentor I find to my utmost horror that all four Metal energy are prized. I score two KOs being forced to discard the Multis - having to wait one more turn on either KO would've ruined my setup - and fail to draw either Metal energy, rendering me effectively unable to attack again.

At a Battle Road this season I was playing Magnezone + Electivire (with a not-so-good list, admittedly) and four out of six rounds I fail to see a single Lightning energy before the 5th turn. Yup. With Roseannes and Claydol in the deck.

OK I have one probably no as good as ya'll but here ya go

My son makes top cut in city and is super excited. At the time he had know of pokemon for less than 9 months. 4 turns in the other player knocks out my son's 1st pokemon. He brings out Latias and knocks out his machoke. Latias does 80 for a ko and then the opponent realizes he has no pokemon on his bench. They were all in his hand. oopsies. My son went on to win city champ
