Here's a rundown of all the new games coming out:
Pokémon Box - Dec. 1st - Stores 1500 Pokémon and plays the GBA games on the big screen (similar to the featues in the previous Pokémon Stadium games, but they had to take these out to make more room in the new stadium game.) Comes with special Pokémon memory card.
Pokémon Channel - Dec. 1st - A kiddie game, similar to Hey You! Pikachu, but with no microphone, you perform tasks you see on the Pokémon Channel on TV or something, I haven't looked into the details.
Pokémon Colosseum - March 2004 - Same as old Pokémon Stadiums, but with a Scenario mode that will allow you to catch G/S/C Pokémon and transfer them to your Ru/Sa game pack.
Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green - March 2004 - Remakes of Red and Green (Red and Blue outside of Japan). They're remakes, but will all the Ru/Sa features (items, contests, personalities, etc.) You will be able to trade these Pokémon to your Ru/Sa game packs.
That's all we know for sure right now! Whew, that's a lot of money to shell out in the near future.

Well, there are 12 months in the year. And December is the big holiday shopping season. There's your reason why.
