Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The secret life of Latios IV

I was thinking about giving my chapter's names.
Good idea?
Chapter 8

Blue awoke to see a brilliant light shining ahead of him.
It was still night, and Latias just came home from her daily searches.
Half-asleep, Blue rose from his favorite tree branch and descended to Latias.
He gave her a sweet, tiny peck and rose back into the sky, staring at the light.
He slothed south, towards the dock, and grew faster as he ascended out of the grove.
Blue flew to the museum roof and sank onto it.
Unfortunately, he was still very groggy, and forgot to pust his cloaking on.
And what's more, he fell asleep.

The next morning, Peppy woke with an incredible jump.
She opened her eyes wide open and sped towards Lorenzo's warehouse.
It was fairly late, and the sun was already crossing the sky.
Peppy awaited Lorenzo outside, and felt like playing with him.
She cloaked herself, and snuck next to the door.
Soon, Lorenzo came out, and Peppy flew to pick him up.
Peppy had a hard time, and made tiny breathing sounds, slightly giving away her disguise.
Still invisible, Peppy had Lorenxo so starlted, he couldn't help but let out small cry.
Soon, Lorenzo realized that it was one of the family, and smiled at the spot Peppy's head was supposed to be.
Peppy lost her cloaking and squealed to a very high pitch.
Peppy and Lorenzo were laughing until they reeached the Poliwag pool, at whcih they landed.
Peppy quickly took a drink from the pond, and paid attention to Lorenzo.
Lorenzo asked where Blue and Bianca were; Niether of them had seen them in a while.
Peppy flew quickly to his usual tree branch.
He wasn't there.
Peppy hovered over Lorenzo frightened, but he knew that he was safely patrolling the city.
Or was he?

Latias, still asleep at the foot of the oak, felt that this time she'd stay in her human form.
For the first time ina bout five years, Latias was not looking like Bianca.
She was looking like some girl with hair as funky as Bianca's, however.
She was wearing a red and black jacket, she looked about the same age, and sore a red bandana.
It was about noon when she awoke; Latias was up late the night before patroling.
Lorenzo, knowing that she usually looked like her, was afraid someone had finally found the sacred grove.
Slowly and stealthily, Lorenzo approached Latias, just about ready to attack.
Latias woke to find Lorenzo in her face with a bizzare look.
She jumped back and stared at Lorenzo, wondering what was wrong.
Latias looked at herself, then in a pool of water, and finaly realized her fault.
She soon changed into her normal form, and gave a friendly look to Lorenzo.
"Sorry about that," Lorenzo let out.
He took off his glove and waved at Latias, as she was leaving for an early run.

Late in the after noon, Blue woke very slowly, and yawned.
He was half-asleep again, and soon realized he wasn't in the grove, but didn't understand fully what to do.
Blue rose about a foot in the air, and turned around to see some boy, about the age of Bianca looking in his face.
His eyes half open, somehow found no danger in him, and took another yawn.
The boy lifted his hand to pat Blue on the hand, and for some reason, Blue allowed it.
It could've been that he was still drowsy, and didn't think before he acted.
The boy pat him a few times, and withdrew his hand.
Blue didn't mind, much, and studied the boy.
As he slowly fully woke, he wondered how he, of all people, got on top of the museum roof.
The next thing Blue noticed was the boy's hand.
On his palm was a sort of red, triangle.
Blue had quickly opened his eyes wide, and darted to the center of the island.

OK, I had to lay down some lines, so I apologize for the delay.
I will be giving a new chapter every weekend (including Fridays).

waaaahhoooooo!
Oh, man, I just pulled an all-nighter and I feel great for some reason.
unfortunately, I have no inspiration.
This will be fun.

Lan woke up from a dream-less sleep.
He just remembered something.
He went to Bob's house, hoping that Bob would come with him.
He nearly jumped and skipped all the way.
Lan knocked on the door and waited for Bob to come up for about five minutes.
Bob opened the door and jumped back screaming.
"Aauuuuughhhh!
Oh, it's just you, Lan."

Bob pulled Lan to the pier against his will, and began talking about something that involved pulling up his shirt.
But Lan was afraid he would forget, so he immediately grabbed Bob' hand and ran to the courtyard.
Bob was amazed at the beatiful courtyard.
His jaw was hanging wide open, and a strange sound was coming out of his mouth.
Lan waved to Bob from the ivy-covered arch, and pointed into it.
Bob came forward, and they left into the blinding light.
Lan, ahead of Bob, noticed that it was slowly becoming pitch black.
Walking forward, he heard something.
>pow<"yeeeaarghhh!">thud<
He didn't know what happened, but when the darkness grew bright again, he haden't seen Bob.
He waited awhile and he senced something approaching.
It was that girl!!

Lan was scared stif.
He was pale, and he was sweating out of control.
She got real close to Lan; in fact, it looked like they might start something.
Lan had that queasey feeling (the kind that he knew Bob lived to have) and tried to move.
Suddely, his hand started to glow again.
Lan never noticed until the girl stopped staring at his face.
As she looked downwards, so did Lan, and failed to move once more.
The girl looked at Lan in the eye with a blank face, and Lan at her.
A smile gre at her face.
The red light coming from his hand was so strong, it once again blinded them.
Lan heard a High pitched squeal that relaxed him.
So much, that Lan fell asleep.

Lan woke up in his room.
He glanced at the calendar, then his watch.
Monday.
'Funny,' he thought.
'Yesteerday was Monday, but now it's today, so that means tomorrow is today, and yesterday would be...
I've gone back in time.
I remember everything that happpened, but I have a feelng no one else does.'

He soon got ready for the day and left his house to begin another peacful day of drawing.
He closed the door softly; it was six in the morning.
Lan walked to his favorite lounging spot; the roof of the museum.
He climbed the back wall ladder to find a beautiful sunrise.
He decided that this would be his first masterpiece of the day.
At the top, he walked to the southern most edge.
He found something he would never forget.

It took a while, but he soon found out that the something he found on the rooftop was the legendary Latios.
He wondered if it was real.
But he didn't care.
He figured that if it looked anything like his researched diagrams, it would do.
He carefully and gracefully drew the sleeping Latios in he light of the sunrise.
It looked beautiful.
At least, more than any of his other drawings.
He decided that he keep it a secret.

Lan then wanted to know if the Latios was real.
He realized that it was breathing.
Lan moved on to the head.
The pokemon's eye's were closed.
He stared it in the face until it's eyes opened.
Lan grew a smile on his face as it rose from the roof.
It's eyed were only half-open, and it never rose more than a few feet in the air at times.
Lan took his hand and rubbed Latios' head.
Surprisingly, it didn't do anything.
But then, it opened it's eyed fully and race to the center of the isle.
Lan new that this was enough.
He needed not tell anyone to feel happy.

Chapter 10

Bianca was sitting asleep in a crate, one that was extremely cramped.
She was loosing blood circulation, pulse, and breathe.

The thugs tat had captured Bianca were very notorious Team Rocket members.
The four brothers had once terrorized and destroyed Sliph Co.
Sliph Co. fell in a deep pothole, and lost production on the new Masterball.
This ball is perfect and never fails to catch any Pokemon.
There are only five know, legal Masterballs within the three regions of Kanto, Jhoto, and Hoenn.

Bianca woke up sweating and flushed.
She was breathing very deep and took interest in what she was being kept in.
She figured thtat the thugs had nailed the crate shut to keep her from finding something important out.
Binca tried to ram the roof, and it gave way as if it was never attached.
She nearly flew out of the gangster's boat and inot the water.
It was pitch black and she could barely make out the sillhouette of the morons.
She tip-toed towards the cockpit to make sure that the thugs don't notice that she was up.
She soon realized that they were sleeping and chuckled to herself.

What she didn't know was that the Rocket Brothers were very light sleepers and would wake up at the sound of the snapping of fingers.
Unfortunately, that's just about what she did.
She slipped on the edge of the boat escaping and ended up falling on her back and rocking the boat.
The Rocket Brothers jumped at the thud and grabbed Bianca by the arms.
The tallest and seeming ly oldest by the voice, yelled at the other for what to do then jumped in the seat and started up the speetboat.

The thugs hideout was on the north shore of town.
On it was a arch made of rock.
Under the arch was a cave, and Bianca was forced to go in.
It was so dark, though, that the only way she knew where she was going was by the dampness and temperature.
In it, she heard many a Zubat screeching and fluttering out of the cave scared.
"So, what should we do wit her, bruddah?"

"Just throw her against that rock.
Make sure she doen'st go anywhere.
Again."

Bianca was overwhelmed by the sudden stench.
She passed out again.

She woke up the next morning.
It was bright enough to see some of what was happening.
This time, the brothers were still awake.
They had tons of expensive equipment.
Bianca had thought she had seen a GameBoy on one of the moniters.
She heard some voices and decided not to move in case she'd upset somebody again.

"Yes, we've got her."

There was a dark and scraggly voice on the other line.
"Excellent.
You've finally done what Annie and Oakley couldn't do.
I'm glad you broke out of the Saffron jailhouse.
Now, meet me back in Viridian in one week."

"Yes, boss."

Bianca was scared to death.
She just hoped that one of her legendary buddies could help her.

MAJOR DELAY!!!
For the last two weekends, I've been busy.
So I'll have three chapters by this weekend.
Chapter 11

Lan reviewed his earlier drawings and sketches.
He was right; his latest piece was better than the rest.
At the south shore, Lan sat and viewed the sun arising into the white sky.
Suddenly, he heard a great noise, followed by a scream.
Lan jumped to his feet and focused the sounds to the north side of the island.
That voice had unclogged something in his head.
He somehow remembered it and ran to find out what was happening.
For an athlete, he was pretty fast.
After a couple of miles, he grew tired, and lowed his sprint to a jog.
He noticed that he was going even faster, if not just as fast.
Lan wanted to slow down, but to no avail, he just kept going.

As Lan approaches the center of the isle, the major transport canal reared up.
It was nearly ten yards wide and there were quite a few
The screams grew closer together, and Lan had an urge to save the girl.
Lan decided to take the leap of Faith.

He jumped nearly ten feet in the air.
At the peak of his jump, he wasn’t as fast as he was once going.
In fact, he was slowing down period.
He wasn’t even falling at a normal rate.
Lan saw a feather blow by his side through what wind their was, and it fell to the ground.
Lan’s mind raced.
He saw a thought of a career in pro-skating whoosh by.

A memory popped into Lan’s head.
He was in the museum library.
He was 6, and he just picked up a brand-new book.
“Latios and Latias are very mysterious Pokemon.
These legendaries are said to have psychic powers.
In fact, there have been many strange incidents since that very fateful day.
Unfortunately, there have been no sightings of the wonders since then, either.
But, one incident occurred on the day of the annual Altomare Water Chariot race.
One competitor, named Ash Ketchum (now 20), explained to us his special experience.
‘At first I thought my racer, Totodile, had gone out of control.
But it wasn’t until two days later I found it was Latias trying to help me.’
And, in Quote, the announcer.
‘…and here comes Ash ‘rounding the corner as if he was shot out of a cannon.’
To this day, January 27th, 2004, we await these mystical beings.”
Lan saw a picture of Ash Ketchum in his early days.
It struck Lan like a rock.

Lan’s pupils shrank and he remembered that he was still in midair.
He began kicking and swaying his arms.
He came back down, eventually, and heard a crash and yelp.
He shut his eyes and kept running, no matter the burning in his legs.
The buildings grew small and few, and sand became the flooring.
As he approached the Cliffside, he slowed back to a jog.
This time, Lan didn’t keep going.
He slowed down again.
Lan came closer and closer to the cliff.
Lan slid and skid leaving a cloud of dust behind him.
Lan ran straight off the cliff and into the water.
He sank, and stroked back to the top.
His hair and clothes stuck to his skin, and he saw what was happening.
When he looked, his brain surged again.
Questions arose in his head.
‘Why wasn’t I still in the air again?
If it’s that girl again, why was she screaming?
She never made a sound before.

Then it hit him.

[Inspired by It's my Life by No Doubt]

Actually, after a year of searching, I finally got Latios EX about a week ago.
But I'd like Shining Latios!!!

Awaiting Shining Latios...
Chapter 12

Bob woke from a dream-less sleep on the kitchen floor.
"Whoa!"
Bob jumped to his feet, and looked around.
He shut the door to the refridgerator and looked at the microwave clock.
"No wonder it's freezing.
It's 6: 34, and the fridge was open.
I gotta remember not to drink water in the middle of the night."
Bob bent down to pick up his empty water bottle.
'Empty water bottle?'
Bob walked out of his kitchen, glanced at the wall calendar, then walked backwards into the kitchen.
He stared at the microwave clock.
6:34, Monday.
"Monday?!?
Wait...
So that's lan's secret!
I knew the bugger was hiding something.
Lan's a psychic!
Wait...
If Lan's a psychic, then why doesn't he 'brainwave' me or something?
Maybe it wasn't him."

Bob, forgetting about everything, ran outside with his pj's on and ran to Lan's favorite spot.
Bob figured that Lan would have noticed, too.
He wanted to tell Lan his secret, whether or not he was a psychic, or if he liked it or not.
Lan wasn't there.
Bob jolted to the main canal, where Lan usually hung out.
Lan wasn't there either.
Bob grew tired and jogged to the next spot.
But, before Bob even blinked his eye, he saw something fly past him.
He ran past the building blocking his view, and saw the thing flying.
It was Lan!
For sure, because Bo;b recognized his goofy wing hairstyle.
It didn't look like he was falling.
'He is psychic!!'

Bob heard a scream and a crash, like metal smashing into each other.
Lan was going too fast for even Bob to catch up, so Bob found a shortcut.
He lifted a manhole and somehow, the lid went flying into the sky.
'I gotta remember not to overdo it.'
Bob jumped in, one foot before the other, and landed inside a dark, dirt tunnel.
Bob jogged through the tunnel, and about two minutes later he heard a great thud from above.
He winced once, and started a run.
He began thinking of what might happen, or what Lan was doing.
Bob cotinued along the path, and light grew.
When he emerged out of the tunnel and out of the cave, he found what was making the racket.
He saw lots of metal everywhere.
He slowed down and walked forward.
He saw Lan run past him and into a circle, going back the other way.

Bob swore he saw something in his eye.
He just couldn't make it out.
He heard another scaream, and saw what was to be upset about.
The silent chick!

'She's not so silent anymore.
Looks like Lan is trying to help her from those thugs.'
"Thugs!"
Bob wanted to help anyway he could, and he did.
Just not in a way non of us could understand.
Bob vanished out of the dim light from inside the cave.
He's gone like that, once more.

Chapter 13
(Hey, that's how old I am!)

Bianca was flailing in the cave of the north shore.
The Team Rocket Brothers that had disassembled Sliph were running about in the cave.
Bianca could see that Lan was here with them.
And in the distance, she could also see that other boy that always hung around Lan.
Lan jumped into the cave and began distracting the thugs.
Bianca tried to escape, but the oldest of the quadrupletts had blocked the passageway.
She looked around, and turned to the direction of the strange boy.
He wasn't there.
In fact, he wasn't in the cave at all.
All of a sudden, the flock of Zubat came in, but this time, they were led by a giant Golbat.
the Zu bat want ahead in and flew into the depths of the cave, but the Golbat stayed behind and terrorized two of the thugs at once.

With three of the brothers being othered by bothersome burdens, the stupid one was the only one left.
Bianca easily outsmarted him, and he cursed her out.
Bianca heard a great thump and turned her head.
Lan was knocked to the ground.
The oldest brother ran in front of Bianca's way, and steadily paced towards her as if he was thinking dirty thoughts.
The Golbat was knocked to the ground a few second after that, and the four brothers cornered Bianca.
Bianca heard a fierce shriek and saw Lan rise to his feet staggering.
She turned her head towards the cave entrance along with the thugs.
Peppy and Blue flew in and smit the thugs each in the face.
Peppy swooped in and picked up Bianca and stared Lan in the face.
Lan had a feel of recognition on his face when he and Peppy made eye contact.
Lan looked behind him and saw that the fallen Golbat had dissappeared and Bob took it's place.
Bob was standing and was staring at Blue.
Lan shifted his sight from Bob to Blue and saw tht this Latios ws the same from the rooftop.
Blue picked up Lan and Bob and left with Peppy and Bianca, having left the thugs with broken equipment and nothing.
Their laptop screen had fussed and picked up a signal.

"Boss, we lost 'em."
The guy on the computer cursed.

Blue and Peppy landed in the hidden grove in the center of the isle.
Bob and lan looked around, and the windchimes were set off.
Lan looked as if he recognized this place too.
'That's it!'
This was the park that the girl gave him the funny feeling.
Lan heard the girl whispering to the Latias.
"Is he the one?"
The Latias nodded her head.
The Latias transformed into the other girl.
'No wonder that other girl didn't talk.
She was Latias, and this one was the one they saved from the cave.
We saved her, and-'
>Wha-pack<
The Latias walked up and smacked Lan across the face and knocked him out.

Lan was knocked out for several hours.
When he woke up, he could actually make a sound.

Chapter 14

Lan woke up in a strange forest.
He couldn't see straight, and had a huge headache.
He got up from the ground and looked around.
He made out Bob's shadow, Bianca, and the Latias.
Lan also thought he saw an old man standing above him.
"Is this him?
Is this the one?"

"Yes, Grandpa.
This is him.
What does it look like?"

Lan recognized the second voice.
It was Bianca, the girl from inside the north shore cave.
he had heard Her and the old man tallking about what happened.
He didn't understand most of it, though.
Too foggy.
Lan reacovered his sight, and saw a Latios far behind them.
He rose to his feet, and just kept rising.
He looked down, and kicked his feet to get to the ground.
"So, your name is Bianca, eh?
How's about you and me get behind that tree and-"
>thwack<
Bianca slapped Bob in the face.

Lan grew fully consious and felt his head surge, then flinching.
He heard a sharp trill, and opened one of his eyes, He figured it was the Latias, but it was now playing with the Latios far behind.
Lan turned around and saw another Latias in his face, and he fell backwards.
"This is Peppy.
That over there is Blue.
The bigger Latias, well, just call her that."
it seemed that the latias in the background glared at her.

"You don't know what happened do you?"
Bob, with a sore cheeck, was talking to Lan.
He shook his head.
"Look for yourself."
Lan stared at Bob confused.
He raised his hand to rub his head, where he now remembers Peppy slapped him.
As he began rubbing his sore spot, he took his hand back down to look at it.
Well, his scar was gone.
But something wasn't right.
He flipped his hand over, and...
Of course!
His hand was Blue.

'Blue?!?"

Yeah, his hand was in fact blue, and he had claws.
His other hand was exactly the same.
He looked down at himself.
He saw that on his stomach, was a red, outlined triangle.
He also had no legs, but feathers as feet.
Behind his shoulders, he saw wings.
His head surged again.
he soulcn't take it al in, like it was a dream.

But it was all to real.

hello people of the world!!!
I am in Mexico, and I may not give the nxt chapter for another week if not tomorrow.
Or, should I say, mañana?
Well, I might be duning, shopping, swimming, racing, or more than the above listed, so tomorrow is not a likely option.
Sorry to dissapoitn you, APT.

Chapter 15

Bobby, Latias, Peppy, Blue, Lorenzo, Bianca, and Lan sat in the grove and began explaining what had happened.
Lan was in his Human form.
"Yes, it seems that Latias kept her forming power, yet Peppy here gained the sight sharing power.
Now, Blue actualy learned his true power, sight Sharing.
It seems that you've inherited Latias' power, where you can give the image that you are anything."
Lorenzo finished talking, and Bianca joined in.
"You are the missing Eon sibling.
You're special.
In fact, why don't you go play with the others?"
Lan just shook his head.
He didn't know what to say.
He'd rather stay with what he was familiar with.

The three Latis kept insisting that he played with them.
He shook his head, and gave a look that said 'maybe later'.
It was like a dream.
Lan couldn't believe it.
He had infinite power.
He had been what he always dreamed to meet or be friends with.
He never thought that one day, he would find out that he was one.

"From what I hear from these two, you were returning to the island from your birth place, and somehow was knocked out.
At that moment, you turned into a human baby.
Some strange woman took you in as her own."
Bianca was sympathetic for Lan.
As well as living his dream, he had lost all the things that were dear to him.
His 'mother 'wouldn't accept him.
He couldn't go to school.
No one would like him.
His life had just crashed and burned like the hindenburg.
"Maybe sleep is the thing you need." Bianca told Lan.
Lan nodded, and nearly fell into the Poliwag pool of fatigue.

When Lan woke, he felt refreshed and relaxed.
He accepted his being, and was a little too energized.
He wanted to do something with the Eon siblings.
He looked around.
Everyone was still asleep.
They had spent the night in the garden.
The sun had just rose, and a ray of sun hit Lan in the eye.
He squinted and took his hand to his forehead.

When other's woke up, he immediately began excersizing.
Latias actually hid behind Lan and surprised him before he could do anything.
He fell to the ground, and smiled, tickling Latias on the stomach.
Peppy came and helped Latias lift him into the air.
Lan was really having a good time.
When they got to the highest branch of the biggest Oak.
They look over the Island of Altomare, and Lan began revisiting his fondest memories.
Lan finally took his true form, and flew alongside the Eons, as Blue joined in.
The four Siblings flew synchronized in the air.
Lan arose singled out in the sky.
he let out a hight trill, and felt as good as can be.

THE END
