The sound of Dustox

Hello Dustox, my old friend
I've come to play with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its lists while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of Spiritomb.

In restless tourneys I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a Luxchomp light
That split the night
And touched the sound of Spiritomb

And at the Nationals I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People battling without speaking
People trading without listening
People writing lists that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of Spiritomb

"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of Spiritomb

And the people bowed and prayed
To the Luxchomp god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the champions are written on the subway walls
And tournament halls"
And whispered in the sounds of Spiritomb

I made a pretty cool Dustox deck. Here it is-

2 Dustox
2 Beautifly
2 Silcoon
2 Cascoon
4 Wurmple
2-2 Sunflora HS
4 Spiritomb
2 Uxie
1 Unown q

4 BTS
4 Bebe's
4 Collector
2 Communication
1 Luxury Ball
3 PONT
1 Lucian's
1 Seeker
1 Palmer's
2 Belt
2 Warp Point

8 Grass
4 DCE

The strategy is to begin with Spiritomb active and with a collector in the hand (Good with the BW rule changes regarding the first turn). Simply accelerate the deveopment of the bench using both Graces (Sunshine and Darkness) to rapidly set up faster than you might think. There is no preferred main hitter- Dustox and Beautifly serve different purposes to each other, and use accordingly to fit the situation of the game- Beautifly is for quick kills and Dustox is for long matches. E.g If you face a deck with say Gengar sf, Beautifly can 2hko it with Silver Scale, whilst Dustox is required against more 'heavy duty' decks, such as tank decks (It can wall and it has great hp).

WOW nice rhyme's up there! lol on the deck... no idea :) GL with it

I honestly doubt Beautiflies will be of much help so take em out for more Dustox.

Also, no Lucian's, Looker's/Copycat>PONT.

I think a 2nd Unown q will be better than using warp point as the only pokemon you will want to switch are tomb (which warp point cant) and sunflora which has a retreat of 1

I would also disagree with Porii, an early beautifly will be useful against tomb/sableye or other resistance pokemon as it may be able to 1hko for 1 energy, But lucians could also be useful getting energy onto a beautifly for a late game KO with a belt it should hit for 80+burn+asleep+poison so it could get a ko on most SP Lv.X if they fail the burn flip.

I prefer this to you Hippowdon/Ninetales mash up

Porii, I have no more Dustox but having a 50/50 split of each evolution works quite well as my testing shows. It offers flexibility in my strategy. Also, Beautifly can donk :D Nathan, do we have another unown q? I forget. Pont is more useful here.

I believe i have a spare one somewhere, and i think i have a couple of cascoon if you wated to go straight cascoon

go 1/1/1 copycat/pont/lookers instead of just pont, variety is great :D

Nathan, if I nab the 2nd q from you I might ditch the warp points altogether and run 2 PONT 2 Copycat- best of both worlds. Running 4 of both Bebe's and Collector is mega-consistent, similar to the structure of Vilegar.

awesome deck lol. i have a similar deck myself...maybe you could uh, drop by and give some constructive advice. oh wait, you already did. XD sikeeee.

seriously though, dustox/beautifly is beast and i hope to see it in some form at my regionals.
oh, and i'd go with straight pont or lookers. i really like lookers personally to see what your opponent is up to and possibly disrupt. as for the 2 unown q i think it's personally 1 too many lol. you don't want an unown q start EVER and in this case adding another one is just running more risk of getting donked by quicker decks. it's bad enough there's so many low hp basics. ie. sunkern and wurmple so adding another one would be risky. great deck though! i'll definitely miss dustox when the format changes... ]:
