GJ for selling the Gardevoir for $26! It's weird that someone showed up 6 hours before the auction ends after being left idle for 4 days and brought it up to 15, then 21 in 37 seconds or else it is worth 4 bucks :(

"The crowd waits anxiously" I loved the vid...two of your friends defended you so well and that's friendship buddy

7.4. Game Tempo
The pace of a Pokémon TGC game should be moderate and lively, and each player should receive approximately half of the allotted time for the game. However, the way players react to pressure can have an impact on the tempo at which they take their turns. Judges should watch for changes in tempo and make corrections when needed.

In general, the following time limits for various game actions should be appropriate. The times given below are general guidelines; players attempting to use every second of the time allowed for the items below are almost certainly stalling and should be subject to the Unsporting Conduct: Severe penalties.

Performing the actions of a card or attack: 15 seconds
Shuffling and setup, game start: 2 minutes
Shuffling and deck search, mid-game: 15 seconds
Starting the turn after opponent’s “end of turn” announcement: 5 seconds
Considering the game position before playing a card: 10 seconds

7.4.1. Slow Play
Players should take care to play in a manner that keeps the game pace brisk,
regardless of the complexity of the situation. A player who takes too long to make
decisions about game play runs the risk of putting his or her opponent at a
disadvantage due to the round’s time limit. In addition to the recommended
penalty, the judge should issue a time extension to offset this disadvantage.
Examples of Game Tempo: Slow Play include:
• You are excessively slow when deciding which Pokémon to attach an
Energy card to.
• You take an unreasonable amount of time deciding which Basic Pokémon
to take from your deck after playing a Poké Ball card.
• Counting or searching your (or your opponent’s) deck or discard pile more than once in a short time period.
• Repeatedly searching your deck, hand, or discard pile while performing a
card effect.
• Attempting to engage in extraneous conversation that interferes with timely play.
Recommended Starting Penalty:
Tier 1: Caution
Tier 2: Warning

There you go, Gino. Bulbasnore posted it in the "We, the players, want more time." Topic. There's your ten seconds a card. =)

Just remember Gino, heavy is the head that wears the crown.

Be true to yourself and your vision, and you will always have people who criticize you, as well as people who support you.

You are taking the high road, continue to do so.

Man, you have REALLY come a long way from the scattered young man I met in 2006.

Enjoy this...a LOT!

Vince

Congratulations for winning Nats!~~**~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~"~"~"~"~~`'~'~'`'

Good luck in the future...

Gino, congrats on the title.... Huge accomplishment considering how many people were there.... I saw the video and I loved it.... Good tribute to the "baddest dog in the yard"... You earned your stripes... If you wanna publish a Biography text book about your win titled Pokemon "GEO"graphy for Dummies.... So be it..... There's nothing wrong with how you are handling yourself.... Stick your chest out stand on the fence post and crow until you can't crow no more.... You won over the largest tourney field to date.... And next year there will be 600+ that will be firing daggers at you trying to knock the rooster off the perch and making you Sunday dinner.... Everyone want to take down DA MAN! It's human nature.... Enjoy your spotlight bro... You earned it!

And to the people that are bagging on this guy.... Relax! The people that are in the pictures of his slideshow shouldn't be worried about how they are protrayed. The guy that served up Barry Bonds record breaking Home Run.... The guy that LT jukes out of their cleats before he gets into the endzone.... The guy that has to watch himself get knocked out by Chuck Liddell over & over & over........ Someone has to be "THAT" person.... They should think like the rest of the people in these situations do.... THEY WERE IN THE BIG SHOW..... Just knowing that and seeing it in pictures would be awesome in itself....

Bah, everyone complains because you played PLOX (G-PLOX, but still)

You know what? I dont care. You won the largest Pokemon TCG tournament in history.

See you in Orlando, and congrats.

also i just thought it is kinda ridiculous to make a tribute for yourself

The American Dream, Ladies And Gentlemen.

My thoughts on the video: Similar to Sports Illustrated's view:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/sioncampus/07/10/sec-schools-as-liquors/index.html

Nothing says "Pokemon Champ" like black bandanas and a dramatic highlight-reel set to Superstar.

The whole bandana thing? It's already been done. His name was Martin Moreno, and he went undefeated that day. Every player respected his win. His ego was on fire, but his play was even better and he won with a new deck that had never been played before and went undefeated. He wore the bandana and this just looks like a cheap ripoff from some whitebread boy from Rhode Island (how "hood"!). The words in the video were often poorly used or kind of ridiculous.

"He made other teams consume their words" for example. I think the video creator meant to say "He (third person, lol) made other teams EAT their words." The words eat and consume have similar meanings depending on the context, but not in this one. You get some cheap image of a video game nerd.

"Victory was won!"
I don't even know what that means. Redundant and trying to be clever and utterly failing?

A picture of a signed Gardevoir? The hand-writing is really ugly and looks like it's written by a five year old. It looks like my Jeremy Maron signed Nidoqueen RG (after he won worlds).
It sold for a whole lot, huh!

The video just says a lot about ego. Who makes a tribute video to THEMSELVES? Who references themself in the third person? How obnoxious and egotistical. Nothing in the video was original or new, and it was full of failed egoism and overall just tried way too hard.

There have been very few times in playing Pokemon where I was truly ashamed that I played. But after seeing this video, and all the responses on the internet that outsiders now think of our game, and what I think of our national champion as a reflection of the game, I think this game is just a pure donkeyfest. PLOX is a deck that literally runs itself and is so overly played and powerful in swiss that anyone on any given day could win with PLOX. I was hoping the tradition of cool guys winning nats would live on- Jacy, Seena, Martin, Fulop, but this year the cycle was broken when Colin, Mike, and Drew all lost in the top 4.

What better reflection of the game and the rating invite/structure and problems that we'll be seeing than this video.

Gino deserves to be cocky, but he doesn't really need to be that bashed.

You have to be a sick person to break people's hopes for bragging. he won Nationals. he has "Bragging Rights", i was talking to my friend hitmonchan93 at Regionals when I was 3-0 and said, if I go 7-0 i get bragging rights. We agreed, and I still haven't stopped being annoying, I commented every one of his pictures with 7-0! Then, after all my happiness I decide, hey I'll post my list and see what people say about it. You know how many things you said were wrong with my list. A very lot. Mind you, I didn't know about the list at all. I just made it in my living room and tested it to my liking for a long time. I worked so har and got bashed by you. Thanks.

Gino didn't have to make the video, sure it was very uncalled for, if a friend made it, it would of been great! No he made it, out of cockiness. Why should anyone care. He won Nationals and deserved his Bragging Rights. He has used those in a video, some people like it, some people don't.

He shouldn't have any offence to him.

By the way, if I was him right now, I would have any reason to hate you and everyone else that posts in my forum about how bad I am at the game and how I shouldn't of won and how not cool I am. I love how people would go out of their way to insult someone. I know it took you a while to watch the video and post everything about it. If you don't have something encouraging, peaceful, or nice to say, back off.

I personally don't know Gino, but from the looks of it and all the crap people give him, he deserve a Nationals win and "Bragging Rights".

I congratulate him for taking any insults he shouldn't have to take.

I never said he was bad. That is something I haven't done. I never said he SHOULDN'T have won. I just said it's a reflection of the game. No offense, but I think that Martin, Seena, and Fulop were all better players than Gino, and I believed that US National Champion was nearly equal in status to the World title. But not anymore.

Do I think Gino is bad? I've never seen him play, but he admits to misplays. I think you have to be good to win nationals, but do I think he was our nation's best? No.

This isn't about Gino. I was commenting on the video.
