Why do you have to simultaneously be a negative nancy and have no reading comprehension?

He explained why he liked the lesser prizes for PRs in the post you just quoted.

And no, I guess there's no reason for winning at league, oh boy! You broke the format! The point of league is to have non-stressful, not competitive play, and it's great for new and inexperienced players. Giving points away equally fits that theme to a T.

Sure, but what does that have to do with earning more points? If you weren't testing at league you'd be testing at home/online, where you would be earning nothing, so I'm not really seeing where you're coming from here.
 
Prizes for just showing up at the leauge and playing.

It's gotten a few people I know just to try it out and now they're hooked.

I only have one complaint and it's the general "Canada gets nothing" thing.
 
me too, but it didn't happen, so i'm fine.
i hate SP decks too, but maybe they will go away in the next modified format....
at least pokemon gave us a rounded format.
 
Well I completely agree with all the points you made, which is pleasing because there was a real sense of downfall and depression in the PTCG around a year ago, when everyone was complaining about POP. So yeah its great, there is a real variety of decks right now, each one to be successful has to have a counter against all of the other main archetypes and also not only are they releasing League Promos, but they are in general very playable cards. Thanks it was a good read,

How about

6. Encouraging and participating in open discussion and debate. It's always cool to see Biggie hanging out and listening to what we have to say - giving us the corporate side of the issue, but staying level-headed and open-minded throughout. It's cool that the Gym gets heard.

That was one of the things I missed the most from the old wizards days. The big guys for pokemon at WOTC would try to listen if you could catch them browsing the gym. I wonder where they are now.

If anything I really miss the weekly chats, they had cool info and instant rulings on the spot. It was a really nice touch and I would love if nintendo did the same.

Dislikes,

No more event speical promo cards. No more prerelease stamps, City, State, regionals, nationals stamps, and now our Battle Road stamped card is gone
 
Great thread, and a ton of great points. I think that a lot of the posts that get made on the forum are addressing things people DON'T like in the hopes that it helps them get changed ( or because they are bitter. ) Its nice to have an outlet to post the unsaid things that have been done great.

I'm "guilty" of posting plenty of threads or comments criticizing decisions I haven't been in support of. I stand by those. But as a whole, the game has been handled incredibly well. Its easy to nitpick over a lot of things. I can only imagine how much better we'd have it if there was a larger budget allocated to organized play. Each year the game moves in a better and better direction. So I'd like to personally thank those in charge of all of this for doing such a great job. Everything isn't perfect, but it is definitely on the right track. Thank you.

I too miss the event stamp or event logo on the promo cards. In a couple of years, I'll likely forget that the Garchomp C was the Regionals promo, and not one of the league promos.

I am super happy with the League promos. It gets some good playable cards in the hands of new players.
