Thoughts on Buying Movies?

When it comes to movies, I either just rent them from the library to save money, watch them from On Demand, or sometimes watch them on Netflix if it's something that I desperately want to watch. It would be one thing to buy a classic movie that you won't see again (like a Disney Classic movie), but to a buy a random movie that's not memorable at all is another thing.

I just find that buying a movie that costs $20 or higher are not only expensive (especially Blu Rays), but buying multiple of different movies adds up to the point where it clutters up the space in your room. Not to mention, that I would see myself watching the movie once or twice and not watch them again.

I'm just wondering if other people are doing the same thing?

I don't really like buying movies. I share similar thoughts to you, because I don't watch them very often.

When I do buy movies, they are movies that I either REALLY enjoyed, or they are movies that I'll watch multiple times. I'd also buy a movie if I want to directly support the industry and show my support for it/the movie.

I work at WalMart as a cashier and I gotta admit, there are not a whole lot of customers buying movies these days. Even though I'm a anime fan and all, I would rather watch them on youtube, rather than buying a them physically, just so I can watch them on the big screen TV. RedBox and renting movies from the library seems to be the way to go these days.

Hey! Me too! *high fives* :thumb:
Inception is probably the only movie I've ever personally bought (I got the Blu-Ray edition which came with a digital copy for my iPod ). But for other movies I usually borrow from the local library or if it's a really good movie, I actually watch it at the cinema's.

BTW, this is my first post on the Pokegym in more than two months!

Redbox for new movies.
Netflix & Hulu plus for everything else.

We canceled our cable because the internet TV does.

To be honest, there are a fair number of movies I see in theatres that I don't end up buying. It's not (always) because I didn't like them, but I just don't feel a need to own them.

I mostly rent and have "fun" with them before returning, rarely do I buy titles and those have to be movies I really like. Like for me, we (family) got Puss in Boots, which is a rare exception. Toy Story 3 as well for that matter. But yeah, mostly rent, and we have Netflix delivery and streaming as well, even if Netflix is really going down hill (Redbox too for that matter, but for a different reason).

Hey! I was going to recommend he/she buys Puss in Boots! If you want anime just rent it.

I don't buy movies. It costs almost as much to see the movie as it does to buy a DVD.

Just don't steal movies. Stealing movies is like robbing the elderly. Or murder.
