Three questions

1) These new Deoxys and Castform - does the fact that they have smaller words next to their names mean that those words are part of their name? I'm thinking 16 Deoxys in a deck here...

2)Are Pokemon L.X that are put on basic Pokemon (ie Mewtwo, MAU, Dialga) still considered Basic Pokemon for concerns like Snowpoint Temple and Mewtwo L.X's Body?

3) Are Pokemon "evolved" from Babies, or are the Babies simply "under" them? For example, can Dialga Flash Cannon Hitmonchan off of Tyrogue? Does Chan get +20 HP from Snowpoint if he has Tyrogue "under" him?

Thanks much for your time!

HI!

You're not the first person to ask these questions as they are GOOD ones :thumb:

1. These new Deoxys and Castform - does the fact that they have smaller words next to their names mean that those words are part of their name? I'm thinking 16 Deoxys in a deck here...

Yes. You could put 16 Deoxys in a deck as long as you don't have more than four of each forme.
They are all "different" pokemon (for the purposes of deckbuilding). So, you could actually have FOUR OF EACH of the Deoxys forms and Castforms. The cool thing about those Pokemon is that they can switch in and out, so you could build decks and use what you need for whatever situations arise. I tried it, and got a headache... but go for it.

2)Are Pokemon L.X that are put on basic Pokemon (ie Mewtwo, MAU, Dialga) still considered Basic Pokemon for concerns like Snowpoint Temple and Mewtwo L.X's Body?

Yes. Snowpoint adds to your LvXs that are leveled up from Basics. That's the ruling. That's why people who run the AMU deck (Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie) like to put 3 or 4 Snowpoints in their deck to raise the HP to 110.

3) Are Pokemon "evolved" from Babies, or are the Babies simply "under" them? For example, can Dialga Flash Cannon Hitmonchan off of Tyrogue? Does Chan get +20 HP from Snowpoint if he has Tyrogue "under" him?

Any time you evolve a Pokémon. into another stage, it is considered to be an "Evolved Pokémon." (even if the words written on the card say "Basic") So.. to quote the guy in the post beneath mine "#3 Flash Cannon yes, Snow Point Temple No!"

Hope this helps

Snowpoint definitely applies to the Lvl. X Pokemon.

In the compendium:
Q. Does Snowpoint Temple add +20 HP to a Darkrai Lv.X?
A. Yes, a Lv.X Pokemon is consided the same evolution stage as the card that it Leveled Up from. (Aug 28, 2008 PUI Rules Team)

But mr meches said it did

But, I believe that mr meches was answering in regards to a Pokemon that is evolved from a Baby Pokemon getting the +20 from Snowpoint.

The answer is 'No', even though a Hitmonchan is printed as a 'basic' once it evolves from Tyrogue, it is now an evolved Pokemon.

Thanks guys! I only asked about the Baby thing because older cards said, for example, "If Electabuzz is an Evolved Pokemon" while now it says "As long as Elekid is under Electabuzz". It was explicit before and seemed kind of wishy-washy now.
