Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Tier Decks

Luxchomp with a 1 1 dialga had NO bad matchups. You might get the occasional bad hand/setup, but that deck when piloted by the right dude/dudette had no reason to ever lose. And to be honest I just don't see lost zoning 3 energy to do equivalent damage that zekrom does when he only discards (thus recycling) as a good route to take.

Vilegar and Donqueen both beat it around 80 percent of the time.

Donqueen? I never even saw those two cards played together in my area, either way, level up the dialga. Poison the Donphan with crobat, snipe the bench away. And against vilegar, i had only lost to one vilegar ever, and that great guy went on to win Southern Plains Regionals 2010. Not to take anything away from it, but I don't even fancy myself that great a player. Yet I was still able to perform superb with the deck.

People used Crobat for such purpose. I never ran into anyone using a Crobat aside from sheer desperation or retreating.

In anycase just because you never lost to them doesn't mean it didn't happen often. If that were the case then Magezone in general would never have been tier 1 since I have rarely lost to one. (Which isn't the case)

As for MagnEels, it has really good matchups against a lot of decks and is really consistent. Having one bad match up doesn't mean it isn't tier 1, especially when the deck doesn't appear in mass (as Tropical Beach is so hard to come by) It's a good deck, it's played a lot, and is worth playing.

Could it? Yes. Will it? I'm not a prophet, and there are too many variables. Any given local meta will make or break Durant, and that is very, very hard to predict right now. Durant is probably one of the more meta-dependent decks out there.

Not to mention the build. I've had some success with it recently, but am having to constantly tweek it a card here, card there. Turbo is best though, and play heavy N to counter the mass of card advantage you give by mulliganing.

Tier 1
Eelektrik/Mewtwo/Zekrom
Celebi/Mewtwo/Tornadus

Tier 2
Durant
Magnezone/Eelektrik

Tier 3
Tyram
Chandelure

Magnezone can't really keep up with the format anymore imo. Eelektrik + Basics is just better now.

Uhhh bro I am that Southern Plain Regional winner. :lol: What round did I play you?

I thin Magnezone can still keep up. I've seen good results and played some good builds that just shut down the oposing deck

Yes I know, which is why I said the nice things. We played in top 4, just look at my name ar M I L O. It's me, Amalio, or Milo for short. But yeah like I was saying, that entire season I had played and beat all but your Vilegar deck. I firmly believe LuxChomp had a positive matchup against VileGar.

Wait I just realized you are probably a master. I was a senior at the time. I remember Vilegar won all 3 divisions, so it was an easy mix-up.

Why is the truth so far down? Is it proven it can't keep up?

Because outside of top cut, I went X-1 at every cities with my version of it.

It's in my Tier 1 list. Can't keep up? Unless they hit turn two magnezone w/ catchers galore and you never run into a twins, you're still okay. It gives you prizes until it sets up, then you CAN'T take anymore.

Exactly. Plus. I'm playing two terrakion in my list to counter Magnezone who is really it's only threat. Then I have the new "secret weapon" aside of Steelix Prime/Kyurem EX/Resh EX/Mewtwo EX ;/

I believe it's either OHKO me with Magnezone or I win.

I'm hopin to catch some dudes snoozin with my build, and yeah Terrakion works miracles against literally the only thing that can OHKO your attacker, whatever it may be.

Well everyone is saying Terrakion is a huge threat right now so here's what I think the Tier's are looking like for States right now after the ECC Tournament:

Tier 1:

* CTM/MTC (Celebi Prime/Tornadus/Mewtwo EX)
* ZekEel (Zekrom/Eelektrik/Mewtwo EX)
* Truth EX (Reuniclus/Vileplume/Regigigas EX/Terrakion)
* Donphan

Tier 2:

* Durant
* MagEel/Thunderdome/EelZone (Magnezone/Eelektrik/Mewtwo EX)
* ChandePlume (Chandelure/Vileplume)
* Vanilluxe/Vileplume

Tier 3:

* TyRam EX
* Zebstrika.dec
* Zapdos Donk
* 6 Corners EX

The orders the decks are in under the Tiers, arent in a numbered order, but it also isnt finished yet.
