Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Tier Decks

Exactly. Plus. I'm playing two terrakion in my list to counter Magnezone who is really it's only threat.
Because of Mewtwo, no deck has a damage cap anymore. Almost every deck can just build up a Mewtwo with enough energy and steamroll you. You can't kill it with your own Mewtwo because it can be revenge killed by a second Mewtwo too easily.
In addition, Magnezone can KO your Terrakions with Zekrom EX now.
This deck is dead.

Terrakion doesn't come out until Magnezone is active. Zekrom EX can't one shot other EXs. I will gladly let Mewtwo build up 7-9 energies on it to KO one of my pokemon. THEN I will KO it and it will be a back and forth game until they ultimately run out. i dont get it. My version runs things to OHKO EXs, OHKO Magnezones, and tank as it's meant to while giving the minimum amount of prize cards in exchange.

All i'm saying is, I don't think the Truth is dead.

You KO it with what? Your own Mewtwo? Great, now your opponent KOs it back with his second Mewtwo and wins the game, because you will always be at least 2 prizes behind (cause you're still playing Vileplume/Reuniclus...).

2 games hold no bearing. Not even toward trend prediction.

Mewtwo and Thunderdome are the given tier ones, the rest of the grasped meta is tier two looking to prove themselves or fall, and tier 3 and below are the weird decks no one is talking about.

I don't know if Thuderdome, assuming it's the generic magnezone build, is tier one. I doubt the deck can take catcher KO's and lose the energy, and if you're just going to slap them on the Zek EX for safe keeping, you might as well just swing with it. Zek EX/eels is tier one, not thunderdome.

Ross' deck with Regigas and maybe Terrakion is certainly nothing to mess with, I expect it to win at least one or two states, I think most of the wins however will go to CMT. This is my tier list:
Tier 1:
CMT
Thunderdome
Zekrom/Eelektrick
Ross' w/Regigias

Tier 2:
CaKE
6 Corners
Reshiboar
Durant

Tier 3:
Mewtwo/Gardevoir
Mew prime decks
Everything else (unless I forgot something).

I'm surprised to see CaKE either forgoten on lists, or just being put really low, but it has good matchups against a lot of the top decks, especially if it runs Terrakion, which can give magnezone a lot of trouble. It also got Prism energy from Next Destinies making it much easier to power up all of the basics in the deck. I Also put Mewtwo/Gardevoir in Tier 3, which a lot of people might not agree with. Mewtwo/Gardevoir is too slow to keep up with other mewtwo decks, so it will usually lose in a Mewtwo mirror match, and it relies only on mewtwo, meaning decks like CaKE, Durant, Mew decks, and even 6 corners can easily shut it down. Gardevoir can also be catchered up easily and KO'd so imo, Mewtwo Gardevoir isn't a good deck right now. Also, I think Reshiboar is the play over Tyram right now, just because you don't put damage on reshiram, which helps against Mewtwo, especially since you will you usually have only 1 energy attached to your Reshiram, it makes it hard for mewtwo to KO you. However, it is still Tier 2 because other decks can set up faster and dismantle it's set up, and it can just run out of steam and lose.
Personally, my deck of choice for states is CaKE/Terrakion.

I think CaKE was intentionally left off. There are two problems with CaKE now:

1) Just as always, you can whiff on Energymites. With more consistent energy accelerators (Celebi, Eeletrik) to power up basics, Energymite has become relatively more risky.
2) Reshi and Zek EX can OHKO all of the non-EX basics. So, that one Energymite is not going to last you like it did last format. Those energy are going to be hunted and OHKOd quickly. You don't have time for multiple Glaciates, or really any attack from the non-EXs.

After the ECC I would put the tiers like this:

Tier 1
Zekrom/Eels
CMT

Tier 2 (best on top, worst on bottom)
Mangezone/Eels
Durant
The Truth
tyRam
Electrode Box (I think the best way to run this is with Reshi EX, Victini, Cobalion, Eviolite)

Tier 3
Everything else

You're right, CaKE does have a hard time with these EX's, and standard CaKE isn't as good as it used to be, however, Electrode is still very useful.
Yes, you can whiff on enerygymites, and it isn't as consistent as Celebi or Eelektrik, but for what it can get for you, it is very good. Straight up CaKE might have some problems with the format, but I think variations of the deck are still very playable and effective.

I see I'm not the only one believing in CMT. The only reason I placed it so high was that it won the ECC. I do think there is more separation within the Tier 1.5 set for them all to be on the same level. Fair enough though.

Whats with Tier 1.5?
I know their might be some who thinks its neccessary, but your either on one side of the fence or the other.
