Top16 Brackets

Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone could help me on this. I wanted to know what Top16 Brackets look like.

So I know, 1st plays 16th, 2 - 15, 3-14, 4-13, 5-12, 6-11, 7-10, and 8-9.

Does the winner of the game [1vs16] play [3-14] or who does he have to play? And how does it work for semifinals. This'd help me a lot!

Thanks in advance for any help!

T8:
(A)1 v 16 Winner plays 8 v 9 Winner
(B)4 v 13 Winner plays 5 v 12 Winner
(C)3 v 14 Winner plays 6 v 11 Winner
(D)2 v 15 Winner plays 7 v 10 Winner
----
A v B
C v D

1-16 plays 8-9, 2-15 plays 7-10, 3-14 plays 6-11, 4-13 plays 5-12. I think thats how it goes. For semis, I think its 1-16/8-9 plays 4-13/5-12 and 2-15/7-10 plays 3-14/6-11.

Here's a way of working them out.

The sum of players positions is a constant for any top cut.

Start with a top 2 ..... 1 plays 2
To make a Top4 we have to add in players 3 and 4.By the sum rule I gave above you get 1 plays 4, and 2 plays 3 ( the sum is 5 in this case.)

Then to get to a top 8 add in players 5,6,7, and 8
1vs 8, 4 vs 5, 2 vs7, 3 vs 6 (the sum is now 9)

note that I dont change the order of the players when I add in the next group. You can continue this pyramid for any number of players.
