Has anyone tried using their Trace ability with their Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir to identify wild Pokémon abilities before you catch them, to see if they have the ability you want, if the Pokémon you're trying to catching has more than one ability?
I do, I place my Kirlia (soon to be a Gardevoir) in the lead position, identify the wild Pokémon's ability, decide if that's the Pokémon I want, and then switch to my catching Pokémon. Works very well for me so far. And my newest Pokémon will have the ability that I chose for them.
