Wondering if anybody could help me with this deck i've been playing. It's been doing pretty well winning 70% of its matches.

Pokemon= 21
3- Gengar DP :psychic:
2- Haunter DP :psychic:
4- Gastly DP :psychic:
3- Cacturne Pk:dark:
1- Cacturne d :fighting:
4- Cacnea Cg :grass:
1- Minun DP :lightning
3- Corsola DP :water:
Trainers= 24

2- Celio's
2- Copycat
1- Night Maintenance
3- Professor Oak's Visit
4- Rare Candy
2- Roseanne's Reasearch
2- Scott
3- Sidney's Stadium
3- Steven's Advice
1- TSD
1- Warp Point
2- Windstorm

Energy= 15

2- DRE
1- Scramble
10- Psychic

Strategy- Start with corsola to set up your bench or gastly to set up gengar. Use Sidney's stadium and cacturne to poison their active. Then use life drain to bring them to 10 hp left. Poison knocks them out between turns. Cacturne d is in here to put that one damage counter on their pokemon if i don't have sidney's stadium in play. Welcome all criticism!

yeah are you trevon?

but i think i read 8 cacturne but i think you mean cacnea and you may wanna run more absols if you want to start with them

-1 Ghastly
-1 Prof. Rowan
+2 Absol

If Absol is your preferred starter you show play 4.

One major problem with this is that your own Sydney's Stadium works against you if they play Dark type Pokemon. Add to that that Gengar is weak to Dark and you might have a problem. Gengar also works best with something with free retreat if you plan on using it's second attack.

Sorry i ment that to be four cacnea from crystal guardians.
empoleanperson- i dont think im trevon
darkwalker- i dont plan on using gengar's second attack very much, as i really dont have a lot of energy in the deck. I haven't had any problems with dark pokemon, but do you have any suggestions?

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

my fault, i had to use my dad's pokegym acount.

Why Special Dark? Only Pokemon able to abuse it is Absol and you're using it for Baleful Wind anyways. Cacturne could use them but his attack isn't that great anyways. .And(I know you don't have them) -2 Prof Elms +2 Celios
This is much better than how my brother used to use it :/

If you don't have celios then Bebe would be a good 2nd choice. As for the 2nd attack and Retreating. I played someone On Redshark tonight that was using a very SIMILAR deck to this; when he used the 2nd attack he just had a Haunter HP on his bench to switch with. Though a little risky it paid off.

Cool when it works . . .

I ran something similar to this during the Battle Roads. It got absolutely crushed (I switched to Hurricane for Cities and have hit three straight top fours with it), but I still love this deck. You absolutely need four Sidney's and three Scotts. I would also drop the Blissey and the TVRs in favor of more Stevens and Copycats (and perhaps two more Absols if you want to go that route). This deck has a lot of moving parts and you need some heavy-duty draw power to get everything set up. For the same reason, I would think about subbing Stevens/Copycat for the Team Galactic Mars -- you need to draw more than two cards to get this baby running. I would also think about a smaller Cacturne line in order to put in two more Windstorms or two more Rare Candys. Ideally, you want two more of each, but that will be tough. Finally, if there is ANY way to put in some scoop-ups, I would try to find room; when you flip tails with Gengar and then get hit for 70-90, it is nice to be able to grab it and start over. With four scoops, you can even get away with as few as 13 energy cards.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! *** what is this if u get this to work give me a pm lol.

if u want to start absol play 4 not 2

the deck will need a lot of help but im not going to waste my time so get a new deck.

:lol::lol:

remember, this is just a fun deck. but i like to see people's faces when i pull off this combo. thanks for all the advice, any more?

An alternative to the Cacturne/Sydney's Stadium combo might be a simple Crobat line. You auto Toxic, gain a sniper, and a free retreat pokemon with decent HP that's in the same energy type as your main attacker.

how many crobats do you think i could run, replacing the cacturnes? and if i do put in crobat, would it help putting in ssu and more rare candy?

also, how do i edit my original thread?

A 3-2-3 Crosbat line would fit in the the same 4-4 Caturne slots you are already using. Rare Candy would be more important that Super Scoop Up if you choose to use Crobat.

Updated with changes i made before league. Worked pretty well, set up by turn three in most games. I had troubles agaisnt cessation, but nothing major. I totally owned anything that had a staller as a first pokemon, as i set up then warped.

Steven's has the potential for more cards, which this deck needs. And it seems to me that i get heads plenty, as i owned your face off with this.

Oh, i also have your gold dice. Hah!
