Trying to start a New League in San Antonio, TX

Hey everyone, my friend my brother and myself (my bro and I have been playing for 10 years) are trying to start up a new league here in S.A. over at the Memorial Branch Library across from St. Mary's University.
With two schools directly behind the library and a university right in front, i'm hoping to attract a few ppl. Anywho, my friend and I went over to the library on a video game event after school and talked to the kids about the Pokemon TCG.
Out of about 20 Kids, 15 were interested. Great!!! The library is all for it and we have the full support of the event manager. Although many of these kids know what pokemon is and like the cartoon and video game they don't know how to play. So what we're doing is having a couple of weeks to hold workshops on how to play the game. We made little 30 card decks (like the trainer decks) featuring pokemon they know and have seen, to keep in the game. Do ya'll think this is the right way to go about it?
I really want this league to grow and produce some pretty great trainers. If anyone in S.A. or surronding want to attend its perfectly fine with us. Though we are not yet officially a league we are awaiting a response from POP on our application. Do ya'll think there would be any doubt that POP would deny us becoming a league?
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here is our website with info on the location and what not. Its still in the prototype stages.

Hey, good to hear you are starting a new league. I have connections with the Dragon's Lair store in San Antonio, and if you are interested in running league there let me know and I can help you out. I run the league at Dragon's Lair in Austin, and both stores have the same general manager and she is very supportive of the game.
