Figured if i was up this late i might as well write up a report.
So I talked to andy all this week heading up to today about what to play. I really didn't have time to playtest anthing, so it was going to basicly be me playing something blindly. He was hyping LuxChomp AKA LADY GAGA, and i figured it was a good play, seeing as im pretty good with sp builds. I go down to his house on friday to stay the night; we playtest a couple of times to work out the kinks, listen to a bunch of music, and go to sleep around midnight to one. Wake up at 8ish, and almost arrive late to the tournament. Talk with Kevin for a bit, then the tourney starts.

Lol. Not the best way to start the day. I just sit around and wait for the next round.
WIN 1-0
2nd Round- Christian Smith (Sally-Delcatty)
Opening hand is a Bronzong G and nothing else. I drew pretty much crap the whole game, i try and make it interesting by continually getting cheap prizes with Garchomp's Dragon Shoot, but he gets way too set up for me to make the comeback.
LOSS 1-1
3rd Round- Kevin Sharp (Scizor-Cherrim-Furret)
He starts with an Uxie, i start with a Luxray GL. Much better hand than last round. I start sniping Scythers while he tries to set up, he finally gets a belted Scizor by mid-game, but i continue in sniping around it, racking up cheap KOs. He tried hard to come back, but i had too good of a start. Won without ever touching a Scizor.
WIN 2-1
LUNCH BREAK
Didnt get to eat breakfast since we left late, so i go with andy to McDonalds and eat some chicken.
Kevin= 2-1
Andy= 3-0
Me= 2-1
4th Round- Nice Army Guy AKA Seth P (Sally-Delcatty-Exploud)
I get a great hand, he gets an okay one. I start off with Bright Looking Claydols with Lux, it goes downhill for him after that. Everytime he brings out a Salamence, i one shot it with Garchomp. He just cant keep a fully charged Sally up active for long.
WIN 3-1
5th Round- Robby Weidman (Queen Belt)
This game is a disaster. Lol. I get a bad start, he gets a good one. I misplay so many times, he doesnt. Just not a good game.
LOSS 3-2
3-2, i have to win the last game to even have a shot at finals
6th Round-Macon Clark (Lux-Ape)
He gets a god awful start; luxray with no support at all. I knock it out turn two. Not a good way to win.

Me= 4-2
So im thinking that im not going to get in, me having a bye and a dropped opponent. But to my surprise i come in 8th, just barely in the top.
Top 8- Andy (LADY GAGA)
Game One- I didnt want to play my best friend in the top, but oh well. First game, he gets a pretty good start, as do i, but he outspeeds me by far. he draws into most of what he needs, im stuck with scraping for knock outs.
LOSS 0-1
Game Two- I get a better hand, so does he i think. Cant remember much, but late in the game i hit a key lookers to shuffle back all his options back into his hand. Game winner. Barely.
WIN 1-1
Game Three- This goes into sudden death one turn in or so. I just get a better start, double flash biting for the win against his Luxray GL lv x. Tough Match the whole way through.
WIN 2-1
Top 4- Miguel (Blaze-Lux)
Not much to say about either of these games, the deck works perfectly. I knock out baltoy turn two both games, and snipe the rest. A misplay a bit in the second game to almost let him back in it, but not quite.

Top 2- Adrian (Dialga-Luxray)
Game One- He starts swinging with a belted Uxie Lv x, and for some reason i cant respond Really wierd game, my deck wasnt exactly working, but his wasnt either. He pulled it out though
LOSS 0-1
Game Two- I get a perfect start, he doesnt. I think i just dominated this game, he really couldnt get much out. He ends up scooping to save time.
WIN 1-1
Game Three- I get another great start, he does not. I go ahead early, but he is surely and steadily working up. Time gets called on my turn with prizes tied 5-5 i think, and i Dragon Rush with Garchomp C Lv x to win. Another bad win, but what can you do? You say you might of won Adrain, I guess we'll never see.:wink: You played a great game though.
Overall, a really good tournament. Way too many misplays, but they dont ultimately hurt me. Well run, fun enviroment. Cant wait till McKinney next week, and to play some basketball between rounds.
