Hey guys Rulemaster and I just got back from the tournament. We got there a little before 11, ate, and met up with Jimmy and everyone else. I didn't test before the tournament, because I knew what my strengths and weaknesses were from playing Pooka and CMT yesterday.
I decide to go with T2 Dark Slowking.
Round 1 vs Cory's Sex
I get T2, but he hits a scrunch with Shelgonso I pass. He gets Sex with 2 energy and hits for 40. I have a shard and tools, so I get the OHKO.

Round 2 vs Mr. Lucas's RL
I get set up fast and start taking prizes. He get a sand damage Ttar and gets mu benched Slowking loaded up on damage. I'm up 2 prizes when time is called, and he can't get the ATM rock to tie.

Round 3 vs Dave II's Metagross
I get set up fast, he can't get any energy to call for friends. Metagross has a tough time against my deck.

Round 4 vs Ryan's RL
I get set up early, but he builds up Dark Amphy and Ttar on his bench. We're tied on prizes and he takes one for the win. Tough matchup.

Round 5 vs Paris
I get a T2 Slowking, he can't get any energy. We played again and I won because he couldn't get set up.

T4 vs Dave III
The first game was really close, I'm able to use shard on his Rex for game. Really close.
The second game he got T2 Electrode ex and KOd my lone Slowpoke. Ouch!
The third game I get set up but he does as well. I have one prize left and he Admins me. I get a Steven's Advice and use it to get my tools for the win. GG!
T2 vs Paris
So I've beaten his Ludi twice already, and have to do it twice more. I figure it won't be that tough, but he played extremely well.
First game I go up 2-6 on prizes. He gets Happy Dance Ludi and rolls 4 heads! Ack! His scramble energy really kills me. He comes back to win after I run out of Slowking.
Second game I get T2 Slowking and start knocking basics. His Admins really hurt. I'm able to win with only 5 minutes to spare.
Third game we both shuffle fast and get set up. I have a lone Jirachi and he uses Rare Candy for Ludi and hits for 30. I get another basic and get my Slowking. I take a few prizes before time is called. GG!!!
After many T16, T8s and T4s at CCs, States, Regionals this tournament season I finally take first. First prize is a box of Unseen Forces which will be shipped to me when the store gets it in.

but yah, great games, I really wasnt expecting slowking; but I will be FOREVER thankful of this if I play a SINGLE slowking at worlds; <3 the new slowking strategy XD

I like the new slowking strategy...it came to hedgie during a match yesterday. very interesting but it is WAY to far in depth to be posted on this sort of message board :X
