Card Selection/Comments

4-4 Bronzong Due to playtesting I noticed that my opponent KO's around 1 Bronzong per game, so they can be easily drawn into/searched for late-game support if I run 4 copies of each. I know that some people play a 3-3 or a 4-3 line, but I opt for consistency more that anything else in this deck.

3 Mewtwo Only 3 Mewtwo because you can them back with LTC, and you want to leave room on the bench for at least 2 bronzong, so a 4th Mewtwo would be an filler slot, something this deck does not have the space for.

2 Cobalion Non ex attacker. Also helpful for not starting Mewtwo wars, because it is not weak to psychic, while Mewtwo is weak to psychic.

4 Juniper, 4 N, 2 Lysandre, 1 LTC You might ask, where are the draw supporters? I was asking the same question myself but after playtesting, you dont need 12-16 suporters because of the fact that you can always draw into what you need because of the suberb thinning ability this deck has.

4 Battle Compressor, 4 Acro Bike, 4 Ultra Ball Running 4 copies of each of the deck's "thinners" are not crucial to the deck's success, but less than 3 is not recomended. This is because of Bronzong's Ability Metal Links, which attaches from the discard. Acro Bike is a staple in this deck, because of the draw power it provides. Ultra Ball and Battle Compressor could potentially be run in copies of 3, but as stated above, consistency is key.

3 Muscle Band Used to increase damage output, as well as blocking opposing Flare Tools.

3 VS Seeker Very versatile card, must include at least 2 of these in pretty much every deck IMO, so finding space for one more because of the lack of supporters is a good choice.

2 Float Stone, 2 Switch When your opponent is in a poor board position and wants to stall for a few turns, he/she will probably play Lysandre, bringing up Bronzong from the bench. In this case, you have one of three options

1. Let Bronzong get KO'd
2. Try to pay the heavy three retreat cost
3. Play a switching card such as switch, Rush In ability, and/or Float Stone

This is the main reason why every bronzong players should play 3-4 ways to get their Bronzong out of the active position.

Ace Spec Choice: Dowsing Machine Dowsing Machine is like a more versatile form of VS Seeker, being able to not only search out supporters, but also items and stadiums. Also the discard is a convient way to put energy in the discard pile from your hand.

9 Metal Energy, 4 DCE The metal energy is for Bronzong's ability, while the DCE is the optimum choice for attaching from the hand to Mewtwo ex, as it fully powers up a energy-less Mewtwo ex to be able to use X Ball.

Matchups to Fear

Pyroar- This matchup is the only Auto-loss for bronzong, even with Mewtwo ex instead of Metal attackers, because even if you attacked with Bronzong, he is weak to fire.

Other Mewtwo Based Archetypes- Mewtwo wars are not the most enjoyable matchup, and the winner is basically decided in the first 3-4 turns based on how fast you can use Bronzong, and how fast you can draw into DCE. Overall a very luck-based matchup.

Any suggestions, constructive criticism, and outside opinions on this deck are greatly appreatiated!

You have placed a great deal of dependency upon a sole LTC; what if that one is ever prized? Should you increase the count to 2 perhaps?

Have you playtested this deck against "top" decks like Landorus-Bats and/or Yveltal-Seismitoad-Garbodor? How were those matchups? Incorporating a Mr. Mime (Bench Barrier) can help in the first match-up, and Xerosic can help in the second.
