Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Turn 2 Arcanine ex (Finally Deoxys-on!)

I wouldn't play Houndoom. It's just another Pokemon you have to worry about starting with and setting up.

I think Johny finally cracked! If you are playing 3 Lunatone anyway it would be stupid not to put in 1 Solrock. Houndoom is cool, but its completly unrelated to this deck. And houndoom is also going to screw over your Arcanine start.

Well, Johnny, you are certainly becoming the rogue builder! Just when you'd gotten a few VB converts, you go for the doggie??? Talk to us after some serious apprenticing...... Not saying this is bad, just untested.

Mr. T.

houndoom gets to many privliges. -3 lunitone 2 dunsparce 1 lapras or another ton trode, lunar rock lock gone add space center

Yet, houndoom locks trainers such as energy removal 2 and pow which hurts this deck most.

Although Houndoom is a good card, its completly irrelavent to this deck built. If you want a T2 Arcanine, you need to focus one straight Arcanine ex lines, and nothing else besides starters should get in the way. Houndoom is cool, but it belongs in its own deck.

EXACTLY. couldn't have put it better myself. It'll screw up the start, and it doesn't really even fit into the deck. Plus it just makes 1 more thing that you'll have to evolve, get the basic for and all that. too much for a measly 1-1 line. it's good, just not in this deck.

I agree with Tman here.....Your Queen and LBS matchups are already favorable matchups, you have to straight donk Ludi, it's a losing matchup that isn't heavily played, no need to screw your trainer count with a stump. This deck has gotta have Admin, it's a T2 deck with ways to control the game (Lunasol, Overrun).

agreed, not heavily played.

Just thought i'd say i got top4 with t2 arcanine at oklahoma gym challenge. Went into t8 at 2 seed, with my only loss to the one that was undefeated.

Did someone say ludi was a bad matchup? I went 2-0. Just shut down magcargo with lunarock and take out the ludi's before they can get going.

It won't be as consistent without swoops. i don't think it will be as good. Maybe arcanine/houndoom will be better for the next rotation than lunarock/arcanine

you are correct. Also GJ on making top 4 mind showing your list and telling us what you beat?

I got Top 4 with it at 2 GC's losing to LBS and Flariados in 3 games each.

I beat: LBS, Eeveeloutions, Rock-Lock, Dustox, Medicham,

Hmm...I don't really have my list any more. I'll go off memory as best as i can
