You said you're not looking for fixes, soooo....

Props on the article, I liked it. Good Luck at BRs, I hope you do good!

poorly constructed

ampharos slows down the deck (turn cruel should be able to do enough spread without this)
one more lightning lanturn, and 1 more water lanturn
no multis, more lightning,less water
i dont like the absols either - nowadays many decks run felicity's - kabutops, infernape, magnezone, kingdra

this deck needs every edge possible - 2 devos to attach to cruel (becuase u should only use the 1st attack)
also 2 more cynthia's becuase u WILL lose pokemon esp becuase they are low hp

where is the gliscor matchup? gliscor owns this deck btw

if you are so worried about leafeon lv.x, magnezone lv.x, glaceon lv.x, and prolly gliscor lv.x take out the amphy line and replace it with the luxray line(it also has free retreat) - gives the deck a homerun threat

Good luck to them then. I suppose you think you know more than me about it, but then again I've only been testing this deck since the translations came around. I wouldn't know anything.

Felicity's, right. Good luck using it as the only card in their hand.

Gliscor cries. Especially when Cruels come out, dealking 80 for no energy. Water Lanturn is an effective anti Gliscor in of himself.

I'm not a fan of discarding all my energy and leaving myself open to attack.

Blah blah poorly constructed, yeah I heard ya. Don't ya know a lot of people say the same thing about those front page articles. I know it's good, and I'm not looking for your approval, so scram.

You opponent still plays Energy naturally, so while it is an issue, it's not as glaring a one as initially thought.

True, they do still play energy naturally. However, I think they can do so cautiously and kind of mess up you up a bit. As in, instead of doing 30 do 3 pokemon, you may end up doing 30 to just 1 or maybe two, unless you play the blue Lanturn well.

I'm not suggesting its an insurmountable problem, and the deck certainly still works regardless of it, but I think in order for it to work to its max potential (such as taking advantage of Lanturn's ridiculous spread) there needs to be a more sure-fire way of energy screwing them.

I think that the "Energy Flow" deck someone posted in another thread does a good job of this, combining Palkia with the blue Lanturn, though there's obviously no room to do that here.

Scizor is right about the 4th roseannes, which is pretty much mandatory in most decks, and in this one where you are running multiple lines, claydol, cruel, lanturn, amphy and sometimes absol its no exception.

early game draw cards are no help, you spend most of your time playing roseannes/bebe's to set up.
With the intetion to discard cards from your opponents hand with absol it means your less likely to use call, thus requireing the roseannes, which can also get claydol out fast.

The deck might need some work on getting cruel /amphy out t2-3 every game since amphy can have a major impact early game when they are playing supporters to set up.
Lanturn is good when they have more energys in play, and wont be needed much early game
However overall a decent list
=)

I'm open to the possibility to cutting out a single Call Energy for a Roseannes, since I would only plan on using call for non Absol starts, if ever.

Amphy is kinda meh...

it slows down the deck, it doesnt do enough spread (claydol > supporter) and eats away a lot of spaces.

Getting it early is effective but hard (considering you hav to get absol, claydol, tenta... 1st).

With claydol, ur opponent can use supporter every other turn. they LOL at 10 dmg spread every other turn - we havent even add in the fact that they can also choose when to put a fresh basic down!

I've played this with and w/o amp, amp isnt that amazing.

How about Froslass? That way you can streamline your energy line to just Water and removing Lightning Energy, plus frees up 3 slots from Rare Candy?

Some quick background...I wrote this article close to a month ago, but it has rotted in the submission forum for sometime, due to I and bullados's, ah, disagreements in tone. I did not write this to fester in the submission forums forever, I wrote to help people out. So I'll just post it here and ignore the front page feature. I hope it helps you out.

You haven't made a post in your submissions thread since 3+ people made comments on what to improve. How is it our fault that you didn't alert anyone to your fixes, and if you alerted only one person (and didn't post in the thread you'd made the changes), and you failed to PM anyone else (I, too, can front page things you know) then that's your own fault too.

Don't try to present this false image to the public of some kind of lazy, festering staff when YOU are in full control of your article.

:nonono:

We posted 5 comments within just 5 days of what to improve, I've since seen no PMs, no highlighted fixes, no posts, nothing. Also, Bullados is always on the ball, so I sincerely doubt he'd just let something be ignored if you were trying.

how does this deck do against AMU?

Check out the matchup. It's not very bad at all.

I sent bullados multiple messages that I was done editing after fixing it a few times. That I was DONE. I'm in college now, and I don't have time to edit it every time someone sneezes, and he kept saying there were more errors. I never tried to project the staff as lazy, I projected the staff as disagreeing with me, which on some points they did.

I was never given any instructions whatsoever on who else would be able to help, but it had always seemed that bullados was the person in charge of these things.

Your response time was great. I was thoroughly pleased with that. But I was not recieving any more feedback from the one I thought to have the final say in these things. All I knew was that it had been a long time, I've gotten busier and busier and I was not about to let all of it go to waste.

I can dedicate maybe an hour or two to this matter during the weekend. If there are many more complaints, I'll do what I can to deal with it. But odds on, I won't get to do a lot. I'm going to class soon. I have three essays to write and a presentation to prepare for.

does nobody see the synergy with tentacruel and ampharos? spread energy with tentacruel and then attack with amphaos spreading 20 to ALL benched pokemon, but i definately think you need to make the deck focus more

Can you post replies in the thread you create in the article submissions? Can you see our replies? I want the articles in the submission area out by the weekend. They've been there too long and BRs have already begun. I can't update the archetype section without decks on the front page after all.

The last reply I saw was bullados after you. Apparently I can't post, I've tried, so I'll communicate via the bolded text at the article's top in the submission forum.
