Two Questions

I bring two questions here tonight.

First, the Stormfront Gengar's power reads: Once during your opponent's turn, if Gengar would be knocked out by damage from an attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is knocked out.

Now, does the defending Pokemon refer to your defending Pokemon or your opponent's defending Pokemon? I am asking this because there was confusion on the wording of the text.

Second, the Legends Awake Houdoom's body reads: If you have less bench Pokemon than your opponent, each of Houdoom's attacks does 40 more damage. (Before applying weakness and resistance)

If my opponent attaches TM TS-1 or TM TS-2 to Houndoom, has fewer bench Pokemon than me, and uses the attack on the TM, do it do no damage or 40? I am saying no damage because there is nothing to add onto, but the person playing the deck said it would do 40 damage because of the wording.

It's poorly worded.
It means the Pokemon that attacked Gengar would be KO'd.

You are correct. It does not add damage to attacks that don't do any damage to begin wtih.
You can't do "more" unless you do "some" first.
