Back from Nats! Man, what a blast! Sooo, many players!
Congrats to Frankie from NY. His Zappy beat mine beat my in top 16, the only 2 zappys to make it T16. I was rooting for him the whole way. His only drawbacks came in the final rounds when his opponents discovered he didn't have anyway to deal with Wobby. Way to go Frankie!
Also, congrats to Seena AND Tom in the finals. Tom D pulled a turn 2 Rocket's Admin (it was a game-3, 1-prize sudden death match) turning the final game of the match (he was obviously going to loose) into a match he could only win if he top decked the right card (he didn't).
Congrats to ShawnG for finishing 3rd in Nats and 1st in the Prof Cup (he beat me). Shawn's the BEST player in the over-35 category!
Props to BDS and the entire judge/staff for making this the best-run tournament EVER!
A BIG THANKS to M Liesik for giving the Prof Cup Champ a TRIP TO WORLDS!!!! Shawn already earned a trip, so it passed down to ME!!! I'm playings AT WORLDS (not just going to champerone my kid)!!!!
Bummer for Jeffrey for getting paired down no less than 3 times, causing him to barely miss the T32 cut. ALWAYS fear a round 1 or 2 bye! With TMS, it WILL pair you down whenever possible. Hopefully, that WILL be fixed in the upgrade.
