Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK City Championship Winners List 2006/2007

No Tego, it hasn't been answered. The question has been asked so many times that we are getting bored with repeating ourselves. So far we have had lots of excuses and promises but as of yet no resolution.

If it continues for much longer I can't see any other option than to exclude the UK players from the European invite. I dread to think of the outcry if a UK player or players were to win their age groups having stayed hidden for the majority of the season. Very anoying as there are several players in the UK who would be contenders but for the unfortunate position that local OP has put them in.

Either the UK is taking part in the rating invite this year or it isn't.

Bruce K and Sami S were both in the top 4 of the European masters last year - the UK deserves a shot, but it's been stolen from us...

NoPoke: You TOs, what happens when you go to your Pending Tournament (let's say, a Cities) and open up the page where it uploads? Does it lack the "official Premier Event" tag?

Thats correct Tego, none of the UK City Championships or State/Regional/Territory tournaments are currently flaged. The single CC I've run is not flagged. I've only just received prize support for the event which completed several weeks ago. I gave out prizes made up from my familys winnings from last year just so that the players would actually have something to show for their efforts.

Pre-releases have the premier event flag. But other than UK nationals none of the constructed events have the premiere event flag. It gets even harder to understand as the organiser for Nationals (our OP provider) didn't even flag their own City Challenge as a premier event.

If I say much more I'll just end up ranting :(

Don't worry, it sounds like this can be fixed. Us Distributors aren't the ones who tag the events, it's not in our power to flag an event as Premier. They are flagged by Pokémon USA by request. What seems to be the problem here is that Pokémon USA hasn't been provided a list of the sanctioning IDs from the UK, and that your distributor will need to send a list of IDs to Pokémon USA.

There might be some reason behind all this which I'm not aware of, but it just seems like a mistake to me. One that can be quickly and easily fixed. Hope it gets done soon! Norway's CC season isn't even over yet (2 weeks), so maybe the UK could include all their City results in the ranking lists by the time all the other countries in Europe + Africa are finished too.

By the way, the fact that I can only write one-paragraph replies on the 'Gym is killing me. Aaaah. Back to back me here and back to back me there. :((

The results from the Horsham City Championship held on the 10 Feb were:

Juniors - Winner Christopher F (Typhlosion deck), qualified Harley W.
Seniors - Winner Nicholas F, qualified Adil B
Masters - Winner Chris McGivern (Armaldo/Skarmory deck), qualified Ian Elliot

I've placed the decks in there because Power Keepers is out now...

Thanks

Thanks Tego, that explains what is happening.

I'm still mad as I can't see why we had to wait for the Norwegian distributor to tell us what wasn't being done. We wouldn't have needed to be told at all if the problem had been avoided with a bit of forward planning and some communication.

I don't suppose that there's any chance of the long-boats comming over to England again..

got damn! so my hopes of going to the worlds might not actually happen if the nats aren't 'flaged' or whatever?

Scottish CC 1-

I win in Masters. (Cole Bendall) with Boom. No Senior competitors. Junior winner's mother is yet to approve his name being posted on the forum - will try to get permission up next week. Cheers.

Does anyone know what decks some of these people used?

There is already a thread going here with details of decks played, this thread is primarily here so that UK TO's and players can see at a glance who has currently qualified for UK Nationals 2007 - because it is unlikely - given history in previous years - that our OP Provider will supply us with any timely or accurate list.

It is not here for players to scope decks check the other thread there if you really must know.

No Senior competitors? You mean 0 or insufficent? That's mad...

The ones that we usually have weren't here - they usually carpool to league/tourneys but a couple are away on holiday and the others just couldn't go by the looks of things.

Fairly gutting, but not much we can do. Made up for it with big numbers in the 10-s.

I won at Hackney Masters, great event and nice to see everyone. John H says he'll e-mail you the name of the nat's places
