The venue is about a 5 or 10 minutes walk from Falkirk Grahamston train station.

On the 14th those who come to league at 10am (same venue), there will be a £1 tournament - Modified Constructed - with prizes being POP 1 boosters and possibly Emerald boosters. It'll be Age-Modified Swiss..most likely 4 or 5 rounds. It'll be ending around 11.30 to 12midday, so it'll be over before the Prerelease starts

The Slough Pre-release is being run with the help of The Players Club I hope that all of you who can't join Freddy at worlds will wish him luck and come and support the Players Club as they start running Pokemon events again :)

Everybody is welcome to come and join us for some fun by the sea. There will also be a number of side events druing the day so come along and join the Pokem on World crew!
 
Slough Pokémon League will be aiming to have two 32 player events - one before, one after the weekend of Worlds. More details soon as the judging team is confirmed but we're talking about the 14th and 28th August 2004, Burger King 1st Floor, Slough High Street, 10am start for registration.

The players club inform me there is a BBQ planned for PlayerCon too so no need to miss out on Burgers on the 20th either :D and don't forget there's unlimited and modified side events too as well as the Pre-release.

Plus demo's from WotC, Upper Deck and GW and you can play until 10pm! It's gonna be big and it's gonna be there for all of you not making the trip to worlds and it's gonna be fun!

ian, could you not buy the product then run a draft if ur not allowed a "post release" as you put it. looking at the next set i (and probly ian e and martin too) will definitely be up for another draft/pre-release/post release/whatever! :thumb:

It's more a matter of the pricing post pre-release.. Better to run during the two week slot methinks :)

If you want a lot let Ian know so that he can order in for his first pre-release and run more side events for you all :)

dunno if this affects anything but Carl mentioned that the prerelease date of the new set would be moved forward to the w/e of Worlds i.e. 20th.. I have asked for two prereleases (to mark the two weekends after the 20th, I guess strictly speaking the set won't be out until Monday 5th September) so put us down for provisional prereleases at

for both Sunday 28th August and Sunday 4th September 2005.
