Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK National Championships - 2nd June 2007

Which means what exactly?

My invite still hasn't arrived:frown: . If nmonics ae the craze, might as well:

Tournament Probability? Flipping Great

I got an e-mailed invitation from Carl Crook Yesterday.

Theres one line in it about a "promt" start.

lol

I haven't got mine yet. :( Checked my junk mail too, just in case. But all I had were invitations to Facebook *deletes* and offers from Ebay to list my car for free.

The email is completely anonymous. No name, no POP id, nothing other than age group and even there the information is incorrect.

I don't know how to get the word out but if you know that you have an invite to UK Nationals just turn up. To be honest if it turned out that you hadn't qualified I can't see how they can turn a player away if that player honestly believed that they had qualified.

Even less is known about the judge team for the day. Maybe they will ask for volunteers from amongst the parents and other non-players? It is galling when TPfG can't even be bothered to respond to offers to help judge/staff the event. Surely they know that they need judges and staff???? They are the self declared UK's premiere event organisers!

Come on TPfG if you want to stop us getting so upset at lack of delivery you could do worse than start by returning phone call messages left on your answer-phone, or reply to the occasional email. The only time I ever get a call is when there is a problem with TOM and they need help. I even sent an email whose first line was a plea that if they do nothing else at least acknowledge receipt but I got nothing back.:nonono:

Logically yes...

Illogically, I'm the best player. So I shall win. If I could come.

*glares at BBCoding. You know what this forum needs? Strikethrough.

*looks at codes bar*

ah... It's [del][/ del] tags here. No wonder.

quick use the UK rankings ! *grin* Nationals isn't a reliable way of selecting THE BEST player. It is just better than any other method.

Back on topic, please!

We can start the mind games on Tuesday. :p

I've updated the front page with a couple of tidbits, basically trying to clear up the format a little and reiterate what NoPoke is saying, re: invites.

If ANYONE has any more info to share, do so please via posting here or PM or something. :D

Can i just add incase, there has been some new rules in set up due to D/P; The new rules will NOT come in effect at the UK nationals but WILL be effect at worlds.
And of course you can't use the D/P cards yet. (if you imported them)

Someone may want to help me confirm that.

And remember, even though it says it on the deck lis DP is allowed, it ISN'T

Me my sis and my bro all qualified but havnt recieved invites, do we need them or will they have our details on the day anyway?

Thank you Ben...or should I call you Pablo from now on? lol. I'll add that to the front page soon.

kaworu - If you don't get invites, go anyway. They seem to be sent to people's e-mail addresses this year. As NoPoke has said, if you have qualified, you'll be fine. Even if you hadn't, they can't really turn away someone who hasn't at this stage of disorganisiation.

Thanks to Kish and Kempley too. Any more info for me to add to front page would be appreciated. Cheers guys.

EDIT: Front page updated.
