Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

(Un)Official Worlds Top Cut Thread

In relation to VGC, lets not forget that the VGC is fairly new. It may be a while before its perfect.

In relation to Xicious, nah its the UK's time :thumb:

Yeah it started 20 minutes ago. Yeah it's more of a tech than another attack line you pull up whatever you want and KO it plus it helps so much in the Palkia/Variant match up.

Ive thought about playing but i technically dont own diamond pearl or platinum games id say how but idk if its against the rules to mention R4 cards on gym

I can see it honestly, but I TOTALLY wouldn't wanna risk it in speedrill of all things.

Well with Alakapimp, it was I think just 1 or 2 extra EV's that would have never made a difference anyway. If y'all think the VGC is so easy, why don't you try it? It's not as easy as everyone thinks it is: especially at Worlds where the Japanese dominate pretty strongly (Both years, T2 in Seniors is 2 Japanese people).

But still, the point is that the extra EVs highly suggests it being hacked, which should have been a no-no right away. If you ask me, they should have drawn a very strict line and kicked him out, but that's my view, even if from a competitive sense, 1-2 random EVs isn't changing a given stat.

And to me, the VGC is easy, but then again, I've also been playing the videogames competitively longer than the TCG. And if you consider VGC players basically play by Japan's rules (where they've been doing the doubles format like almost every year, compared to almost no organized format here), it isn't too surprising to see Japan doing so well. In a way, it's a reverse to the TCG; Japan has to adapt to 60 card decks instead of the 30 they probably usually play, so vice versa for what videogame players here are used to (usually being single 6-on-6).

If his list is anything like it was at nats than it's the most ridiculously teched out thing you'll ever see. You think a more consistent beedrill list would be better but I guess not.

Meaning he uses MORE than just Beedrill, luxray and a lot of claydols? What kind of shenanigans is THIS?! o_O

If what I;m hearing about the Beedrill deck being teched out, itmight be worth seeing it made into a world champions deck replica...

Has anyone realized that with the format not changing next season, that the World Champ theme decks should be 100% legal to copy for next season? You could be using the same exact list as Mr. World Champion at your local Battle Road.

All the better when/if I crush it with something of my own! XD

Who's a world champ now? >:3

Rofl, I was thinking the same thing also. This'll definitely be a sorta one-time interesting thing though since they're going back to rotating sets next year.

But yeah, that'd be hilarious to see everyone at BRs with copies of the WC Beedrill or Flygon decks ready to roll. Granted, decks don't make the player obviously, but having a copy of thw WC deck can get you ahead a bit.

Sami's deck contains a lot of techs, but Steven's deck hits so hard so early and is so nasty to play against.
I playtested a few games against both of them and not sure which deck is better.
It can turn out to become a very fast finals, or a breath taking experience for the people watching it.
