Wednesday:
Wednesday was the night before I left. I go over to my friend Cor’s house to test decks and stuff. I bring AMUPlox and LuxChomp with me, also keeping Kingdra/Machamp in mind ‘cause I think I’ll just go 3-0 drop, and Kingdra looks nice for what I expect the meta to be.
Thursday:
We arrive late and get to the hotel at like 8 PM. Kevin comes down and we talk for a bit, then I go eat. After that I go up to get Kevin and then we eventually find Alex S. in his room. We test for a while and both Kingdra and LuxChomp are looking cool. AMUPlox, after one game, was off my options. =P After that we went to sleep I think.
Friday:
Day before Nats. This was the big testing day. At the beginning it was still only Alex and Kevin, which was cool. We went swimming instead of testing though, ‘cause, you know, swimming’s cool.
Evetually a bunch of people from West show up. I say hi to a lottt of people and then Alex and Kevin and I go eat. We eventually meet up with other people (Aaron, Ryan, etc.). I eat fries ‘cause Fast Food sucks. ;P
Then we go back and Alex, Kevin, Ryan, and I go up to my room to test. Eventually we get Michael L.’s room number and Kevin and Alex go get him while I play vs. Ryan with my random Machamp/Dusknoir deck I had made that morning ‘cause I was bored. Deck is legit, but unfortunately that game was messed up ‘cause I had 6 Dusknoirs in it by accident. =P
Now here comes the real testing. We go down to Michael’s room annnnd… go swimming. =D Later Michael, Kevin, and I ditch everyone and go up to Michael’s room to test. I pwn Kevin’s DialgaChomp twice with Dusknoir/Machamp and other than that just watch random games. We go to supper later, and then come back where I actually pull out LuxChomp.
At this point it’s LuxChomp or DuskChamp. I play one more game with DuskChamp vs. Sebastian’s DialgaChomp and win again, so I like my DChomp matchup. However I don’t test it anymore and decide to just use what I’m comfortable with; LuxChomp. I wreck Michael’s Gyarados and beat him in Mirror so I decide it was cool, and LuxChomp was mah deck.
We go down and watch Jacob and Kevin play. I play a couple games vs. Ryan as well. One was a donk and one was a good game. It was working out consistently and so I decided my list was good as well. Cool coolz. I go to sleep at 4 AM in the morning. 3 hour sleep is cool!
Saturday:
Soooo I sleep in and then I hear a knocking at the door. I open it and there’s this huge crowd of people: Jacob, Kevin, Alex, and others. I’m like
and then I remember it was Nats. I quickly shower and get dressed and throw everything in my bag and go downstairs.
Now this is important: As I enter the room Jacob’s like “Hey you got a spare Uxie X?” And I’m like “Ughh… yeah but I have to run upstairs and get it.” Jacob’s like “Okay cool!”
So I go upstairs again, get my Uxie X, and go downstairs again, and give Jacob the Uxie X. I begin to feel sick but whatever. I buy new sleeves but they’re retarded so I buy more new sleeves and these ones are good to go! Woot! SO I resleeve, fill in my decklist, Register, and chill with Joey and his dad Jonathan.
When the player roster goes up Joey goes to check for me. Guess what. I’m not in, same as last year. Joy. -_-‘ I talk to the guy and apparently they read my date of birth wrong and thought I was 18, not 13. T_T SAME AS LAST YEAR. Lol. So I was put in Masters and I was like nahhh mang I wanna play in Seniors! So they put me in Seniors.
Soooo as I said I’m playing LuxChomp w/ ERL, and I plan on going 3-0 drop. Pretty cool I know. Just hope I don’t have to play a friend and ruin their Resistence... of course I end up playing…
Round One vs. Alexander S. w/ Jumpluff/Luxray/AMU
UGH. I have to play ALEX of all people. He’s low in Rankings as well, so if he wins I’m screwed, BUT I open very well indeed with Lucario GL, Call, Cyrus, and Spray for his T1 Dol, and he can’t recover from that. He does Bench Uxie next turn but I Cyrus’d for a Spray. I just Garchomp for 6 Prizes essentially. He can never recover from my early 2 Sprays, and I had an extra one just in case. His hand was bad as well. =/ Sorry man. GG.

Round 2 vs. Matt B. w/ Flygon/Donphan
So before the Round Jacob tells me he’s probably playing LuxChomp, while Alex tells me he thinks it’s Donphan/Machamp. IDK what to expect but he flips over Trapinch. I open well again with Bat and Cyrus and Call, and it’s well I did ‘cause he ends up with T2 Donphan and Dol. I take an early Prize lead with Garchomp and then Toxic Fang his Belted Donphan. He does nothing to remove the Poison. I snipe around his Donphan while not giving up a Prize through epic useage of Poketurns, and get up 3 Prizes. At this point he misplays. He has a Donphan Prime Active with a Belt and is Toxic Fang Poisoned. It’s his turn. He has a Flygon and a Claydol on his Bench. I have a Crobat Active and a Garchomp w/ DCE, a Garchomp X w/ Energy Gain, a Bronzong G, and a DCE in hand. He Donphans for 60, takes 20 leaving his Donphan with 20 left. I snipe something for my 4th Prize and then his Donphan gets KO’d in between turns for my last two Prizes. GG.

Round 3 vs. Andrew N. w/ Beedrill/Gengar?
Lol I love Seniors. Anyways. He opens Weedle and Gastly. I open Luxray and DCE. I Bite his Weedle for 30. He draws, Benches another Weedle, attaches Psychic to Weedle, passes. My turn I Rose for Bat + Lightning, drop it, KO the Weedle, Bright Look Gastly Flash Impact KO. His turn he simply Speed Evolutions to Kakuna RR. I manage to set up ERL and attach a Fire for Detonation Swirl and the win. GG.

So at this point I drop, figuring I have an Invite now. I do some research and I am still 99% sure I’ll get my Invite. So I watch people. Alex ends up 4-2 and misses on Cut. Aaron goes 4-2 as well. Kevin, Jacob, Michael, Sebastian, Bidier, Gavin, Dexter, and a lot of other people Cut as well. I hang out and watch Jacob win, Michael come second, Kevin come 4th, Bidier and Sebastian and Dexter get eliminated in T16, and Gavin lose to Gordon in T4. Most important thing: MY UXIE X WON NATS. Jacob donked Michael with it in Game 3. Then I beat Michael in TWO races. Then I go swimming. <3 Then I go up to sleep, as I have to get a plane the next morning.
