^I completely disagree. They have to now the rules of the game based on the fact that so many cards have to explain how they specifically break them, such as BTS breaking the once a turn evolution rule. They have to understand the idea of checks and balances in order to prevent sales declining because an "uber tier" card has been released, such as how Garchomp C X and Luxray Gl X are popular, but checked by the likes of Donphan Prime, Promocroak and Machamp, making it so they aren't invulnerable. You could argue they tend to favor the casual player or collector, but they have to also KNOW there is a competitve player base.

Besides, it doesn't take a competitve player to look at UD Skuntank and realize it offers nothing synergetically, creatively or as a stand alone that can't be found in other cards that do it better.

UD is not very good, but I'm looking at SV right now and that set is definitely way worse from a competitive standpoint imo. AR and UL aren't far behind either :dark:

Cause...Garchomp C isn't played in over half of Tier 1 decks? Or Blaziken FB? Perhaps Palmer's Contribution?

Every set can't have Luxray GL LvXs, Garchomp C LvXs and Poketurns. The game just doesn't go like that.

The sets are fine. Remember what DP was like when it came out?

It's a different block to DP/P, so the cards that come out at first will seem relatively bad.

Then we lose all our SPs and Gengars, and look at these once bad cards, who are, at this point, probably quiet good.

Nope because in 1(hopefully) or 2 years, when well finally get rid of sps there will be new "good" cards...
