I have read in several places about Devolution Spray and Forest of Giants Plants.

1) The same principle would apply to Broken Time Space (BTS), correct?
[That BTS would allow you to bypass the text on the 'Spray, and you could devolve and revolve]

Curious for both, the old "Hyper Devolution Spray" and the new "Devolution Spray." The wording is basically the same on the cards.

So, I know that Rare Candy has been updated to say "you can't use this on a Pokemon that was played this turn"

2) if BTS is out, can you bypass that text and use it?

3) Same principle with Evosoda if BTS is out?

Now Pokemon Breeder is a little bit more straightforward. It is basically the same as Rare Candy; it says on it "you can only play this with that Pokemon could evolve"

4) SO if BTS is out, then technically a Pokemon that went into play that turn COULD legally evolve; therefore, Pokemon Breeder COULD be used. Correct?

NOTE:
I also posted this in the Rulings Discussion Forum.

You're trying to apply the same concept to two very different things.

Devo Spray has what is called "reminder text" on it. Text in parentheses (and also sometimes in italics) is usually a reminder of the standard game rules and notes that they card with that text does not break that game rule. But it is not meant to say that no other card being played can or cannot break that game rule. It's just a reminder of the regular way things are done.

So, BTS and FGP will allow a Pokemon that has been devolved to evolve again immediately because those cards can and do allow that timing rule to be ignored.

Rare Candy and Evosoda are different. They have text that is NOT in parentheses that affects how THEY work. You're not trying to apply that text to BTS or FGP. It's being applied to Rare Candy and Evosoda. That text states that you can't even play those cards if the Pokemon you are trying to use them on came into play that turn (or it's the first turn for that player).

See the difference? General reminder that you're trying to apply to another card vs specific text restricting the play of the card it's printed on. Two totally different things.

Breeder is a different case. It says you can use it if the Pokemon could evolve "anyway". Well, with BTS and FGP, if those are in play, and the Pokemon meets their conditions (Grass for FGP), then you WOULD be able to use Pokemon Breeder to evolve.
