Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Unlimited combos

This combo has it's flaws, but still quite fun if you can pull it off.

Mewtwo Lv.X + Aerodactyl (fossil)
Get some Technical Machine TS-2 (devoluter) as well. Or you can go with some Promo Mews.

have fun :)

Hi spoinkmaster,

I'm afraid that even after all this time trying to learn to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game from my grandson, I'm still wet behind the ears.

Could you tell me if "lock" is a Gastly attack (or perhaps a Poke-Power or Poke-body)? And if so, which version of the Gastly card has it?

Also, I need help understanding what " t1 whatever they use" means.

And finally, which version of Crobat do you use?

Gastly SF has an attack that doesn't let opponents play trainers or stadiums. That's what the "lock" is. He uses Crobat G from Platinum. He means that on turn 1 (T1) he makes it so that they can't use 75% of their deck. That 75% is the trainers.

I'd say it's closer to 50%-60%, because they can still play supporters and stadiums and most Unlimited decks contain 30-35 trainers anyways.

With the exeption of Omastar of course.

It depends on the deck you're playing and the Metagame. If you're playing an ex deck or basic deck mainly, devolutor is better. ATM rock works better in a non-ex deck lime Machamp (Stormfront). Omastar does not work well at all against trainer locking and pokemon power locking decks.

With the exeption of Omastar of course.

No, it depends on the deck and situation. For my deck, devoluter would be the best choice.

Omastar's Poke-Power only works once (when it comes into play). It's not an effective card for evolution
locking. Besides, Omastar and Aerodactyl will have conflicts if they were together in my deck.

ATM rock, for the same reasons, only work once, since you have to discard it at the end of your turn.
And it has to be attached to an evolved Pokemon. Mewtwo Lv.X isn't considered an evolved Pokemon.

And if it wasn't for Aerodactyl's Pokemon Power to lock evolving, I don't see otherwise a point of using
devoluting cards, as the very next turn, your opponent can just evolve every Pokemon you devolved during
his turn. (Exception is to devolve a damaged Pokemon to reduce their HP for a KO. But it's usefulness is limited).

I had an idea I thought I'd post here :)

I was thinking Vileplume EX, Holon Circle, and Dark Porygon2.

I dunno how I'd do the deck, but it'd be energyless. Vileplume EX locks in Holon Circle, Dark Porygon2 throws 'em back into play. Problem is Porygon2 relies on a flip, and getting an extremely bad streak of luck could ruin the game =/ So you'd prolly hold onto Holon Circles until your flips fail. Another problem is the "winning" factor, lol. Was thinking you could maybe play Vileplume δ (HP) to poison the opponent, and you'd eventually have to win (Unless you deck them). I'm not too sharp on my unlimited cards (Or play), so the only way I can think of to avoid decking yourself would be Unown Z from this current format.

Dunno, could work. It doesn't even need Porygon2 or Vileplume δ out T1/2 either, as long as you lock in Holon Circle with a Vileplume EX up, you can take your time. Only ways out I see are Muk (lol, Muk stops all the fun combos =/) and Tauros CG (Which no one plays).
