Ever pull that one card, but don't know how to introduce it to this thread?
Ever "catch" that one pokemon in a pack that shimmers but no pull rates thread is open for it?

Well look no further! In this thread, Pokegym Users can explain, brag, tell-all about their amazing pulls!

I know there are box pull rates, but what about those times, when you go out and buy only a handful of packs?

Needless to say, I'm not impressed. This is the second time in a short while when I've purchased cards that there hasn't been a real "wow factor".
I'm starting to worry that maybe there is someone weighing packs around where I live... :T

This isn't necessarily a pack, but I recently opened up a Base Set Theme Deck (Blackout) and it turned out to be Shadowless!

Although I knew I was too lucky: The Hitmonchan was in perfect condition, so I went to put it in a sleeve and nicked the corner. -______-

I got a Team Plasma Gift Set over the weekend. Should I open it up and check it out or leave it be? I can't tell if the whole thing wrapped up is worth more or less than the sum of its parts...

And @Daelum that hurts I feel your pain

The jpn ones are hah I don't think the English ones are out until the end of the month. The contents are slightly different though--3 boosters in the English box instead of a half deck
 
Anyways, I told my brother to buy me a plasma freeze booster pack at Target, since he's already there. He bought me a plasma storm instead...

I opened it and got a Lugia EX FA... ._. I already completed the set and don't need the lugia ex FA

I'm opening a plasma freeze box later tonight... Want to pretend you never opened the plasma storm pack and trade it to me for the plf one you wanted?

Also... no one needs lugia ex anymore.. it's all about the thundurus/deoxys ex

PlasmaBox (soon to be BDIF) runs Lugia ex. Before it was a good card, now with the help of Deoxys, Thundurus, and Kyurem, it's an amazing card.
 
Hmm I do have one reg and one fa from jpn plasma gale to start building a playset... Any idea if these are legal? I still haven't found a definitive answer on this. About to start opening now so I will have some topic-relevant highlights up later

you can't use japanese cards in play! pokemon events.

I also worry about that as well. However, after pulling a Shiny Random Receiver from PLS last week, maybe I'm just being paranoid. The funny thing is I didn't even realize I pulled that until 2 days later lol.

Only bought two Plasma Freeze packs so far. Pulled a holo Metagross out of one. It's no Deoxys but at least it's a holo. Good enough for me.

Keep in mind it varies by country. For example, in Canada we can use both English and French. The full list of who all can use what is in the tournament rules document.

But yeah, in the US, it's English only.

Ah, but English and French are not considered foreign languages in Canada ;) Aren't they both registered as official languages for Canada?

But yeah, in Italy I imagine you can only using Italian cards. In Switzerland, I think you should be able to use German, Italian, and French as all 3 languages are spoken there, right? Or am I getting my geography mixed up?
