Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Unreleased figures or fakes

What I find really weird is how come Set 3 got out and not set 2 which had several cases produced :S

I'm sure that after the Chinese New Year celebrations end (on the 20th) we'll start seeing more new figures and some of these I would speculate will contain the Groundbreakers figures.

Then there are those who don't appreciate how potentially limited these are and are planning on picking them up at a later date. I think they will find them to be as you said, no longer available then.

I took what you (and the rest of the people in this thread) said into consideration, and now have a Lt. Surge on his way. I can post pictures when he gets here if people are interested.

Is $69 a good deal for the whole set?
I ended up in a 2nd chance offer.
$22 shipping is what it will cost so...
$91 in all

You mean for the auction for 37 of them where you get 3 Next Quest figures, 3 new promos, and 31/42 of the third set? Yeah- that's a decent price.

The ones not in the auction of 37 are:

12 Flareon
14 Goldeen
17 Heracross
19 Magnemite
20 ????????
22 ????????
23 ????????
26 ????????
27 Raikou
30 ????????
32 Suicune
37 ?????????
38 ?????????
39 Erika

And you are getting these next quest figures:
Red
Brendan
Absol
Kyogre
Marreep
Tauros

So I recently have started following this game (Never knew of it's existence before) and I am seriously interested in obtaining some of these some of these sets, as figures, and especially to play/try out this game.

It's a shame that PUSA discontinued this... I only recently realized that :frown:

I could not find these sets anywhere (I live in Canada) and I was considering purchasing some from Ebay. Although I'm still not sure about buying from a China/HK based seller and expecting a legit product...

Anyone purchased from this seller before? Are their figures legit? Heres an example auction of theirs... http://cgi.ebay.ca/12-Pokemon-Ninte...TV_Film_Character_Toys_ET?hash=item2558fdae98

The set 3 List is

11 Executte
12 Flareon
13 Golbat
14 Goldeen
15 Gyarados
16 Haunter
17 Heracross
18 Machamp
19 Magnemite

29 Seviper

34 Tentacruel
35 Tropius
36 Tyranitar
37 ?????????
38 ?????????
39 Erika
40 Lt Surge
41 Emerald
42 Yellow

By the end of the week the only ones I wont have are Erika and Heracross. I tried narrowing down the ???? but they are so many (exclude the 4th Gen) so I gave up!

Since the set has Bayleef and Croconaw I'd say there's a good chance of 26 being Quilava.

Number 26 is Plusle. I got a Plusle from a toy shop in our place together with some of the figures. I'm hoping to stumble upon Flareon and Lt. Surge someday. :D

EDIT:
And I have a Mew too and it falls under 22.

Suicune is so delicate :( It arrives broken :( The paintwork on this Suicune isn't well aligned either the white diamonds are off by at least a milimeter. It still looks very good but I've yet to succeed with repairing broken figures. (Meowths all seem to have broken legs )

Number 20 is Marshtomp. I saw one in one of the sets in auction in ebay. Here is the photo.

EDIT:
Just made another discovery. Minun is number 24. I read Plusle's ability and it says "Plusle's attacks do 30 more damage for each Minun next to Plusle."

EDIT2:
Number 23 I mean. :p

I read somewhere (I think pkmncollectors) that meowth had two slightly different versions released, the first version with the very easily breakable leg (worth more now due to smaller run and the fact that people kept breaking them) and a seocnd version which changed the pose slightly and made the legs less likely to snap off.

I've only read, not seen, so if anyone can confirm that would be great.

Not sure if anyone is still arguing the point, but...

From what I know of miniature games, I'm fairly certain that you wouldn't be able to produce fakes at such a quality/quantity, or even very cheaply. I'm no expert, but I'd bet this was a test print or something.

Judging by the numbers of these still found on ebay, I think it was a bit more than a test print. The supplies of some figures do seem to be running dry however. I've looked high and low for Erika (the only one I really want for collectable value, unless there's a Bulbasaur or Gardevoir found out there somewhere too), and I haven't seen her available on any of the auctions since I found out she existed (other than someone on the LJ who wanted to sell her alone for $20 US).

It really is a shame that these games were never really supported. It'd be amazing to see the fan community step in like players of the Star Wars and Star Trek CCG's did, but I guess the games never got popular enough to get the grassroots action going there.
