Alright, I really am getting annoyed now to the point that I dont even care if this topic gets locked. Why? Because I'm now used to seeing a locked topic nowadays...

To all newcomers, for goodness sake, if you have the time to post useless spam/information, then you obviously have enough time to go read the rules and stop using good server space. Here is what I have been seeing...

-Lots of revived topics
-Lots of spam

Like I said. Read the rules. You aren't going to die or get a seizure from starring at a screen for a good 5-10 minutes.

Urge..to reply...rising...

Naw, I better not... every time I do, I manage to get myself in trouble... all on my own...

On another note, perhaps a quiz about the rules that you have to pass before your registration is complete? ;)

I like the idea too. However, I think the users will only try to pass it just to have access to the forums...

well duh, why else would they try and pass it, so they could legally shoot milk out of their nose in the principal's office of the middle school they've flunked 6th grade in 40 times? The point of passing it is, that shows proof you know the rules and will follow them, and if you break them, there can be moer severe punishments then there currently are(ie, a ban for spamming a few times).

I think if posts matter that much to you... you have problems, lol.

Honestly, with ANY forum there will be major spam. It's annoying but not enraging like you make it out to be.

You could've used the word "kill" for something more appropriate...

Hope that made sense.

I don't see the need for the test. I do know that there are people who will join boards just to spam. But how many active members do we have that actually spam a lot?

I can see where you are going with the test to join. And that might cause those spammers not to join. But if a test were introduced now, we would all have to take it. And about harsher punishments, why do we need them? If you get banned for a first time, it is short. But the more you get banned, the closer you are to be permanetly banned. So a test may be needed, but I don't think it should be only because that might discourage other non-spammers not to join. Just my 2 cents.

people have spammed these boards for years. the mods can handle it :)

QFT.

We have people here who deal with this for a reason. It's impossible to prevent it at the source. They give it a good effort (By having them read the rules), then mop up the ones who get past that.

but this is the random section!!there's a lot of spam here, but that is why it's called the random section, right?
Note: "random topic" does NOT equal spam; we don't allow spam on the RTC, much less the other forums.

BTW, bringing topics back to the top that have been dead for a couple of weeks or more is frowned on here; if you haven't done so already, please be sure you've read the 'Gym Posting Rules up in the Announcements Forum.

And this is exactly what I was talking about. People are reviving threads without even looking at the date of the last post.

I leave you now with a picture that expresses my anger towards the situation...

Seeing that any of your posts show what month you registered, im sure we can develop an answer of our own.

Now go read the rules or I'll eat your soul.

Also, refer to the flash movie that is in my signature, which should enlighten you about posting.
