Uxie Lv. X vs toxitank

I play dialgachomp and use both toxitank and uxie x i realize they are both decent machamp counters. my question is should i take out the toxitank since i run uxie x or should i run both?

If you play MD-on, so w/o Unown G the Toxitank line should be ok, but it is not needed, because Uxie should be fine.
Winning against Machamp with SPs next season will not be easy and you can't stop that with 1 Toxi G and 1 Skuntank G....

Darkmot.

Just accept that you lose to Machamp (Still play Uxie Lv.X, but they should still win). Toxitank is pretty bad tbh. It costs so much space in an already extremely tight deck. You need at least 2 Toxicroak G's to be effective imo. One Skuntank G. And at least two Stadium. So that's already 5 space. And what if they just play BTS's down to get rid of those Stadiums anyway?

Well, i already run conductive quarry even without the toxitank so that is a non issue and my toxitank is a 1-1 because there are so many cards that can get them both out plus with egain it is ready to go in one turn... i just dont know

How many Stadium do you run? Your list must be missing something to be fitting in Stadium.

No, I meant a 2-1 Toxitank not to draw into, just to handle Machamp more. So if they get lucky on Hurricane Punch you can just smack them down again.

machamp isnt an autoloss for any decent play. if your playing well you can take out a champ before its setup, and in DGX youre already gonna run stadiums, why not drop those in.

seriously though, machamp isnt THAT big of a threat. overhyped for real.

Uxie X is no counter. It just gets revenged KO'd. 2-1 Toxitank is the only way to go if you really want to counter Champ. 1-1 will get run through. And Machamp IS a threat. It isn't overhyped. A card that 1 shots your entire deck is a big threat.

He's obviously talking about dialgia, which typicially runs 2-3 stadiums. CQ is usually a weaker choice over galatic HQ though. And tank should be in there if you run the stadiums to ensure the koes/strong defeans.

Uxie Lv X is a counter lol. In testing my Luxchomp has been running 65-35 against a Worlds Invitee's Machamp just by adding a 3rd Uxie and 3 Premier Ball. Much better then 5-6+ cards for Toxitank which are useless against most other SP decks. Alot of SP decks run no Unown G at the moment and survive without Toxitank.

Yeah, the MD-on matchup will be intriguing. Toxitank is great but i'm starting to think that if you have it you are at a constant disadvantage vs SP, and even though you can win VS Machamp with 1-1 Toxitank and No G (i've done it), you really have to have alot of recovery.

3-1 Uxie and 3 pemier is alot of space

I know it's alot of space ( as is Toxitank ) but the main difference is that the 3-1 Uxie and 3 Premier are useful in practically every matchup. Toxitank is way too situational ( useful against other sp decks more or less ), and takes up more room as well. The 3 Premier Ball is amazing with 3-1 lines, so much consistency and speed in the opening few turns.

lmao @ Alex2k arguing for pages in his Dialga article that you can beat Machamp consistently with 1-1 Toxitank in your deck. Personally, I'd leave them both in unless the space from removing Toxitank would benefit you. Uxie X is great, but he's going to get KO'd on your opponent's next turn if the Machamp player is doing a good job.

Also, is it not difficult to get 1-1 Tank and a stadium + gain into play? Sure, you can obviously Cyrus for the P and the gain, but you might need that TGI to be an SP Radar. Also, 1-1 tank is a third of your bench space. It seems a little clunky to be a tech, but this is my stance as a stage two player.

That's a different story. And it takes up a lot of space.

How's it a different story? Dialgachomp runs the 2-1 Uxie and 4 DCE already. The Lucario GL, 3 Prem Ball and extra Uxie take up 5 space, are useful in most matches and bring the matchup to 65-35.

Toxitank is 7 space imo to be worthwhile ( Skuntank, 2 Toxicroak, Lucario GL and 3 Stadium ), most of it's deadweight against SP and doesn't bring the matchup near 65-35 when you have to draw into all of that against a T1 Champ.

A 'good' Machamp list will auto win it, yeah. Take out Machamp? That'll be a lot of effort and after all of that they just reply back with another Machamp.

Um no, most good lists run no Stadium.

Redshark me if you really feel that way. Your Dialga against my Machamp. I'll show you how it's done.

No, good lists don't run Stadium. They run cards that go in the deck.

And you have to remember, that if the Machamp Deck has a secondary attacker (very likely to be able to beat other decks too) , very often Donphan, your Uxies would be totally useless.

And they wonder why i'm so uptight.

You can beat Machamp, it is very plausible. It's very realistic, but YOU LOSE TO OTHER SP DECKS. 2-3 dead draws with croak and tank give you a severe disadvantage.
