In the video game universe, it is easy to make up a "Lingo" that players use to "get to the point" or to make quick reference. Pokemon is no different. There are many abbreviations, terminoligy, and references that make it complicated for some new players to get into the competative scene with ease.
So, I would like to compile alot of the "lingo" into this thread to help out some of the newer players who are looking to get into the scene and at least have a chance to feel a little bit less "out of the loop" when discussing things about the game.
I encourage players of all levels to assist in making this main posting to contribute some "lingo" in here so everyone can benefit.
Basic or most common phrases:
OHKO: One hit knockout
KO: Knock out
LVL: Level
DBLB: Double battle
SB: Single battle

UT: Untouched, meaning that the Pokemon has not gained any battle experiance or has gained a level and is at it's original level of being recieved.
HM slave: A Pokemon that can use multiple Hidden Machine moves to navigate through the game. A good example of an HM slave is Bibarel, who can have the HM moves dive, waterfall, surf, and cut.
Uber: Pokemon that are over powered for a certain battle format or for tournament use.
OU: Over-used, Pokemon that are in the top use and are seen in the most common battle teams and in tournaments.
UU: Under-used, Pokemon that have good/great tournament use but are not commonly used or seen.

This is just a "start" on getting this filled in with as much info on the common used "Lingo" terms. Please, feel free to submit more "Lingo" terms, I believe this will be of help in the VGC scene. I will edit in information as it comes in, and as long as the "Lingo" grows.
(I will edit and "clean this up" and correct spelling and make this a bit more presentable when I have a bit more time to do so.)
