Vilegar for States

So I took 2nd in Cities with this deck, but I feel there is something missing...
Gyarados has been my worst matchup (if it's a good build) so I really need help finding a way to strengthen my chances against Dos...

Pokemon: 27

4 Spiritomb AR
4-2-1-2-1-1 Gengar X (2 SF Haunter/1 TR)(2 SF Gengar/1 Prime)
2-1-1-2 Vileplume UD (1 LA Gloom/1 UD)
1 Unown Q
1 Crobat G
2 Uxie
1 Azelf
1 Mesprit

Trainer: 21

3 Broken Time Space
2 Looker's
2 Technical Machine TS-2 (Just added these after Cities)
3 Pokemon Collector
4 Bebe's Search
2 Copycat
2 Twins
2 Seeker
1 Flower Shop Lady

Energies: 12

7 Psychic
1 Warp
4 Rescue

Strategy: Obviously lock as soon as possible and then Poltergeist for heavy damage. Depending on the matchup I'll change whether I'm shadow rooming or poltergeisting.
Gengar Prime & TS-2 are in there for Gyarados matchups and basically that's it. That's my one loss and it's normally a fair battle but I have to rely on Fainting Spell flips. If I can't get one then I'm toast.

Help would be appreciated. Mainly just need help with Trainer line to help function the Technical Machine in for good results against Dos.

Oh and when it comes out I will probably be dropping the Looker's and adding in Mr. Mime from Call of Legends.

-1 rescue
+1 warp

- 1 Technical machine TS-2 ( you only need one )
+ 1 unown Q

Also, when COL comes out, try to get your hands on a mr. mime, if you can.

Don't need 2 Unown Q, trust me.

Why do I only need 1 TS-2?
What happens if:
1) It's prized
and 2) if my pokemon gets knocked out that it's attached to?

I don't see 1 working out too well...

That's what I said in my post....
I said at the bottom that I will be replacing something with Mr. Mime from COL...
Thanks though...

Your list looks solid not going to lie. With G-Dos its 50-50 basically it comes down to the coin flips.

The only thing I could suggest is bumping your Lookers to 4. Also decide if copycat really does help because I would use PONT over that.

Copycat is an extremely good help!

I would bump it up to 4, but when Mr. Mime comes out, I really will use that over Lookers...
Looker's will still be there for disruption though, or to refresh my hand if I need!

Mr. Mime will be for when I can't afford to use a Looker's because I can't risk shuffling my hand.

Since I am not playing Gyarados for States, if playing States at all, I don't have an issue with posting this. The Tech I would use for Gyarados is Jirachi. If you make them put down two Gyarados (which they should be doing) then you can use Jirachi to devolve both and take two prizes. You can also play a few Judge (it is a good idea) to help them not be able to recover. If you KO them by devolving then they don't get to use Rescue Energy.

That should be enough to beat Gyarados.

But any good Gyarados player with a slight amount of knowledge of what they are doing won't ever have a karp in their hand....
Once they get to the discard, then Gengar Prime is useless in the battle.

The only way I can get them in the Lost Zone is if they impersonate and collector for 2 Karps. Then I would have to get Gengar out turn 1 and I can only send one at a time....
That would mean they'd be doing 60 damage which is hindering them a bit, but not enough to make it game changing I don't think...

And about the Gyarados.....no Gyarados player has 2 Gyarados on the field....otherwise they'd be decreasing their damage output?

Having 2 Gyarados on the field is a good strategy (very often used) against Vilegar because you still 2xOHKO a Gengar with only 2 discarded Karps. And you increase your recovery a lot !
