Vilegar vs lost gar

I'm not sure how Gengar (Lost) with Plume isn't the choice. I mean there are so many things you can do with the deck. You could choose to not play Vileplume as well. I'm not sure if that is the right choice, but if you are playing Gengar correctly you shouldn't have an issue with Dialga Lv. X if you are playing hand disruption and Gengar Lv. X.

I've played against someone with a LostGar variant and I won with my Shaymin, Meganium, Tangrowth deck.
I haven't seen many people at league play either of those decks. There was one person with a VileGar deck that absolutely hated it. If I had either deck, I would go LostGar.

1. LostGar is the biggest meta play right now.

There is no meta, you're basing this on Pokegym hype.

Luxchomp is the biggest meta play until States roll around. Then we'll see.

It's slow if you run a full blown engine for Vileplume, so I'll assume we're talking a thin 1-1-1 or something. I've been testing that for a while, and Vileplume techs WORK here. I remember before TM, people talked about theoretically Seekering a Vileplume, playing Trainers, and then laying it back down to lock the opponent... this is the deck to do it, considering Seeker is part of the strategy.

To further illustrate the over hype...today at league someone brought in a lost world stadium (Target in Derby, KS is already selling LC) and another kid traded 7 legend halves for the ONE stadium.

I can't wait till someone plays Lostgar with me...plays their Lost World Stadium and then on my turn I play another stadium. eh eh eh

Ok, Ken, game on!

Seeya tommorow at Lost Zone!

If you plan on running LostGar please by all means add in at least 1 TM Devoluter if not 2 because believe it or not people Gyarados will still be played at States and TM Devoluter easily turns that match around 100%. Without it you have to get lucky to Lost Zone Magikarps against a good Gyarados player but with TM Devoluter they dont have a choice.

Just my 2 cents but both are probably horrible plays for states...

As someone mentioned already, dgx being popular could give vile gar some trouble where lostgar just hasn't transitioned well enough into our meta to beat sp...

Going off personal experience from what I've seen so far. That is all

How on earth does Devoluter even help against gyarados? You cursed droplets, and then they seeker or SSU. If they're belted, magikarp has 50 HP, which is out of CD's range anyway.
