Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

VileTar

Well, considering you have no way of getting them back, if one T-Tar or pupitar while you're still evolving gets knocked out, while you're powering it up, you've lost your energies for the whole game. There isn't a way of retrieving them either.
2 Twins won't get all the cards you need when you need them, especially in a slow deck where you're meant to start off slower than your opponent, it's worth boosting up to 4.

Yeah, less Seekers too.

Adding on to the descriptions, this flat out MUST be more in depth. I'm not the most in depth person in my article(s, coming soon, and yes it runs Vileplume), but I can say that in depth is necessary.

You need Dark energies to attack though..
You also have no way of getting the dark enegies besides Twins, which again boosts my recommendation towards maxing out on twins.
Seeker in this playstyle of T-Tar isn't as important, so lowering the count would be a good idea.
What would you be using it for? It's got 160HP, and you have rescue enegies. It's good to run a couple, but 4 is unecessary.

Many gramatical errors. And if Luxchomp is favorable then why do you post so many ways that Luxchomp will beat you? You need to post how Tyranitar beats SP, which it doesn't really seem like it does right now.

Might I ask why you feel 4 seekers are necessary? I would say 2 for you, as you do not want your opponent to have that many opportunities to pick up the dreaded uxie. Also, your LuxChomp matchup is WAY off. LuxChomp can Bright Look and ZEN BLADE for a One Hit Ko on Vileplume, so Warp Energy will not always work, and Promocroak will be the end of you if they hit you once first. Then, you will need to attach ALL those energies over again and by then Garchomp C X would probably have sniped you twice for KO.

I'd say Even- Slightly Unfavorable as this matchup is even easier than VileGar for LuxChomp.

I'm not going to rate the article till a couple corrections are made. Otherwise, decent article :D

^I am aware of the opponent able to pick up dreaded Uxies from my Seeker. I like 4 for healing and thats why I don't use them often for Uxies.

the only problem i see is...*sigh*...fainting spell -.-
i love this but really. fainting spell can just instantly ko a hard worked for tyranitar.
great article though

He canwork around Fainting Spell. Power Claw for 90, then Warp Energy to an Uxie and Psy Restore.

The real problem isn't Fainting Spell. It's the decks extreme slowness compared to SP and its bad fighting weakness. VileGar isn't the only matchup that matters.

@Everyone complaining about how "bare bones" the descriptions are:

Don't. This is why the seasoned players are going to 6P for their lists and articles. I don't need an explicit definition of what Unown Q does; if you do, you probably shouldn't be starting to play the game by reading an article on VileTar. I actually like that the OP gives the reader some credit by assuming they have a basic idea of the function of each card. The reason I don't read most articles is because they assume too little knowledge on the part of the reader; most people here aren't new to the game, and having faced VileGar and Tyranitar, most of us can imagine the general idea of a combination of the two decks.

Vileplume is in the deck because it can lock Trainers and give Tyranitar more time to set up by slowing down the opponent. Does he really need to say "under no circumstances should you attack with Vileplume... nor can you, as the deck does not run grass energy," or something to that effect?

I think you did a good job on the deck. However, you really should have read through it or had someone else double check it because there are a lot of sentences that just don't make any sense.

But like I said, good job on the deck. I kind of want to play it now xD

Good job in forgetting to mention that fainting spell can be killer. yes they don't always get heads but if they do then your in a bad spot. also its only 50-50 against the deck it specifically targets to beat? Good article but not the best deck at this point in time.

@ Everyone!

I can bring back the Tyranitar with a Rescue Energy. I know that the Energy will be lost, but al least I will have the Tyranitar right? (By the way: I did forget Fainting Spell XD )

Just because you don't use them for Uxies doesn't mean your opponents wont pick them up. And don't say they wont have one on their bench because everyone always has at least one. Vilegar and Luxchomp both have to drop at least one to get set up and taking prizes. Also, if you take out the seekers for more consistent cards like more bebe's and twins you wont have to be as worried about losing a Ttar since you could have another one behind it. Or you could go for more judge and have hand disruption.
