Both together. I have a 0-5 against MD Andersons (asuming David Anderson is from MD) and lost to Garch once.
Big shout of THANKS to "Nice Tim" for the loan of 3 Super Bonbon cards, though I believe I only saw 1 of them once in my 6 matches! Much appreciated my friend.
Congrats to Dave C. for his win w/ TTar, and of course to those winners in Juniors/Seniors though I don't know you. And yes, Jav IS good people (though his college football loyalty remains in serious question)!
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:
Mr. Washingon, I "allegedly" ran a Torterra deck but only saw 1, in our match! I also "allegedly had Claydol and Super Bonbon cards in my deck lol.
Enjoyed meeting you despite the old fashioned whipping you gave me!
Great job by Dave and all his volunteers making both events this weekend great fun despite my 'Terra deck getting whupped!

Honestly, the only reason I care about rating points is because when Leah, Javier, and I all get together and brag about who is the better player, we then point to the premier points. It's really the best way to do it since normally all three of us are never in the same event, and Javier and I just keep trading victories and defeats and either I destroy Leah easily or she destroys me easily.
Anyway, for numbers--it's just what a qualitative person like me wants to know :biggrin::

Midlothian (Battle City): 40 (7/10/23); LY (Richmond Comix) 41 (10/11/20)
Warrenton: 46 (11/13/22)
Woodbridge: 67 (13/21/33); LY: 44 (13/13/18)
Fairfax: 80 (21/22/37); LY 53 (28/13/17)
For comparison:
VA States 07: 93 (30/28/35)
VA States LY: 131 (45/39/47)
MD States LY: 96 (24/25/47)
New locations were Glen Burnie, Virginia Beach, and Warrenton, all with strong first CC attendances.
While Virginia Beach was the smallest event, it is showing steady growth from the BR and I think its capacity is about 40 if I understand correctly. It's also the most remote of any other location.
Rockville, Lusby, Woodbridge, and Fairfax had strong growths with Midlothian holding steady. Great to see the strongest showing of Juniors at Fairfax. Personally I don't think of Pokemon as a "kid's game," as evidence in the numbers that the Masters is the largest division at all the venues. Rarely in Va/MD is Juniors the largest division, however, we need the Juniors to keep bringing fresh faces into the game just as much as us Masters are needed to keep the game going.
Biggest surprise, I think, came in Woodbridge, a place that even the TO asked if it was worth continuing prereleases there. We all knew Fairfax was going to be big, and even though we didn't expect it to be 80 people, we sure didn't expect Woodbridge to break 50.

Great! Thanks for taking the pics and posting them, totoro. It's a blessing for the parents who forget their cameras. I don’t know if I forget, or subconsciously, my brain knows it can’t keep track of one more thing during a tournament. I already have enough trouble remembering to set aside my prizes. :nonono:

I'll have to appoint a camera person. When I'm judging, I can't take very many pictures. And another person taking pictures means I'm in more of the pictures. A lot of my albums lack pictures of me.
And Helen wants me to type up more of my tournament reports.
