No blanket statement will be made, Kevin, because there may be inconsistencies for the product. Can you see through them at all?? From a different angle?? If you can't, then a judge can't either!
 
yeah.. but we always crank it up once the actual event comes within a few days from occurring.

It's like the snail vs. the rabbit :wink:

I don't know where you guys find the mental stamina to keep building!

I've hit the deck building wall....

Getting stormfront cards (BEST pulls were at prerelease BTW), just opened the flood gates of potential combos SO WIDE that I can't even build... it's just overwhelming... lol

I've narrowed my choice down to 2 decks.

I'm starting to have a little surge again... built out a list waiting for the wife and daughter to get back from the Field Trip to MD ...

Wish I could go to league tonight and try it out... :(

I HAVE NARROWED MY DECK TO idk really, not sure what to play, havnt been practicing too much except only on leagues and since i stopped going to thursday in vienna/farifax, im gonna need to play alot tomorow,
thing im going to 3 or 4, THIS IS GOING TO BE SOOO MUCH FUN!!

any word on the special promo like shinx last and and blastoise 2 years ago?
 
Hey... are there any rules about playing with DAMAGED cards?

I had MOST of my Rare Holos come out damaged.

Here's a pic of a few of them... look at Raichu's attack... it's barely legible...

My deck ideas rot. Exploud was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time :cool:

At league, I showed charchar a card which is really a "league card." He exclaimed "hey, this is really good." charchar has forgotten how to play :rolleyes:
 
I'd say they'll let you use them with Carddex entries.

I know what decks I'm playing. However, I don't know for sure in what order I'm playing them in.
Also if I can get a Raichu X I'll probably play that at one point.
Just for the record, I don't think Raichu is a very good card, I just want to play it for fun.

...In some cases a card is damaged due to a production error. Players should do their best to avoid playing with these cards, though sometimes that is not possible. If the judge feels that this creates a marked card situation, the judge may create a proxy card to act as the damaged card in all ways for the remainder of the event. The damaged card must be retained to use as a reference when the proxy card is played.​

A judge could stretch this rule to what you're talking about, but I think that is talking about damage such as card warpage since it is in the proxy section and may not apply to you. This section may be of more use:

Autographed cards may be used under the condition that the autograph does not obscure any game text on the card. In the event that game text is obscured, the player may use the card as long as he or she has a non-autographed version of the card outside of his or her deck for reference, or the page of the Pokémon TCG Card-Dex with that card’s text.

Cards with a significant portion of their information obscured may be disallowed at the Head Judge’s discretion.
Players who intentionally deface their cards with inappropriate images or sayings are subject to the Unsporting Conduct section of the POP Penalty Guidelines.​

It should be legal as long as you have a Card-Dex translation. (If you're not sure what that is, PM me. No offense, it's just that I've seen a loot of people who should have known better show up and insist that the strangest things are official translations.)
