Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Virginia's 6 2009-2010 City Championship Events Photo Link at end of thread!

We were at 4-4 prizes i think but it definitely wasn't 1-1 in the last game when time was called.

I was trying to say 1 prize taken each, not 1 prize left. You should know better than me how it ended:lol:, but I really thought you had both just taken 1. Good job anyway. :thumb:

It was a very long day as long as Fairfax. I'm glad that Johhny talked me into having that extra Expert Belt as that seemed to help espcisally in my top 4 match. My top cut matches were very intense. I was feeling pretty good at having a shot at that medal when I heard the Mike dropped and when my last match of Swiss was aganist Greg and that match was crazy, but I was glad that I didn;t have to play Gardy again as that was my only loss in swiss due to very epic fail draws.

Props:
The staff
The judges
The store
Making top 4
A new gym quote for the princess. "If you need more dice your not losing fast enough."

Slops:
Making top 4 only to get absolute garbage out of my 4 packs.

I don't know what you are talking about, those packs were amazing!

You should have played Beedrill G yesterday, it was the play.

Good job on the top 4 KoM, see you at pre-releases.

ok...

I am COMPLETELY confused about what Steven S is talking about ...

First... I read this...

Fairfax Masters T4 was:

Spencer N vs Pablo G
Angelina W vs Kevin W

Pablo beat me, so he would go on to play one of the Wongs in T2. I didn't stick around for the finals. Does anybody know how this match went?

Then... I read this...

Woop,

Kevin beat Angelina in a close sibling battle.

I wasn't around for the finals, but I know Pablo won.

And... Steven S posted this:

Question: WHO REALLY TOP 4'd masters at Fairfax ???

Next question: Who Top 4'd masters at Stafford?

Next question: Who Top 4'd masters at Stafford?

RA,
Wooper and I were talking about Fairfax. Karps and I were talking about Stafford. So just to be clear, Masters for the weekend went like this:

Fairfax;
1st: Pablo
2nd: Kevin W
3rd/4th: Angelina W and Spencer N

Stafford:
1st: Arron S
2nd: Greg S
3rd/4th: Chris N and Stephen S

Hope that clears it up. Sorry to hear about your car troubles. We missed the three of you yesterday.

My sis should have taken 2nd place instead of me for the sole purpose of winning 1st place. When I got home, I started having nightmares realizing that her deck had a 75% chance at beating Pablo's deck compared to my 35% chance. I started to imagine what if before I declared my last attack for 120 damage, that I scooped Game 2 and dropped Game 3. And perhaps had I done that, we'd have a medal.

But anyways, some of the best matches I've had in years. Epic.

Fairfax props:

Winning a binder
Wolfe for having every card we needed to borrow
Ending Pramawat's winning streak in the last round
T8 epic Hurricane Punch 4 heads and coin flip FTW!!
T4 sibling rivalry and epic comeback showing who was the better player and who was the smarter player (I was not the smarter player)
Getting ma chops...I gots to have ma chops!!!

Fairfax slops:

Mirror matches
Decked out in T8 Game 2 due to Claydol malfunction
Taking over an hour for both T8 and T4 matches (probably made a lot of people mad, so I apologize!!)
Running on only 90 minutes of sleep the night before
The judges/staff not believing I could win T4 Game 2 against my sister when I had 3 prizes vs. 1 prize

Yeah, exactly.
Don't assume it's THE Pablo.

By the way, here's the little paragraph in my local newspaper about me.
A beach teen is preparing for a state competition with a card deck, but not one with hearts and clubs.
Alex Dickens, 15, was invited to state competition for his second-place finish at the Pokemon Trading Card Game City Championship held in Midlothian in December. The game focuses on cheerful animated characters such as Pikachu and Charizard. Promoters say the organized games promote strategy, creativity and intellectual skill.

It wasn't a big deal at all, nor do you have to qualify for states, but oh well.

Was wondering if anyone else can see Stafford CC on their rating page. It looks like its not uploaded or a problem on the websites end. Though it could just be my page that is messed up. :-(

To Mike and all VA Players:
As I've explained over at Virginia Pokémon, there is a problem with the upload of Stafford. TPCi is aware of the problem and has all of the necessary files. The problem was due to several players who had received several ID numbers over the years from LL and organizers. While my copy of TOM listed them under one number, the "official" number that they are listed as under the TPCi database is different. This is causing some major headaches right now, but it will get cleared up. In the meantime, what players can do is simple:

•If you have ever had an more than one ID under TPCi/PUI, please send all of those IDs, your name, and your DOB to [email protected] and get those numbers merged into one number.
•Verify your correct ID during registration with me at the next event you attend.

In the meantime, I sincerely apologize to those of you who know your ID, have only one active ID and are basically good at following rules!!

Event is up now--I think......
Sorry about the delay, guys.
