Wailord + WP vs. Endless Darkness

My active Wailord with 3 Basic Water + 1 Holon WP has 1 Damage Counter on it and attacks and puts itself to sleep after its Sink Deep attack. It remains asleep in bewtween turns removing the 1 damage counter.

My opponent levels up to DarkRai Lvl. X and uses the attack Endless Darkness. The WP prevents my opponents sleep but Wailord still remains asleep after the sleep check from its Sink Deep attack.

Question is Endless Darkness effects flipping 2 coins to wake up prevented from the WP?

W+WP energy prevents all effects of attacks done by the Opponent's Pokemon to the Pokemon with WP, except damage done.

Therefore, all effects of Endless Darkness are prevented (the sleep, the double sleep flip, the knock out on double tails), except the 40 damage.

Note that Dark Shadow can increase the amount of damage done by Endless Darkness.
