Okay so this is my first real attempt at making a deck. I found some synergy between Walrein and Starmie in RR and decided to go with it. Can it perform in the entry-level OP metagame (which i have yet to enter) or not? You decide... oh and all the pokemon are from RR unless theyre marked otherwise.

4 Castform :water: (Legends Awakened)
4 Infernape SP
2 Staryu
2 Starmie
2 Gligar (Legends Awakened)
1 Gliscor (DP36 promo)
3 Spheal
2 Sealeo
1 Walrein
2 Trapinch
1 Vibrava

2 Warp Point
1 Luxury Ball
1 Dusk Ball
4 Energy Search
4 Bebe's Search
1 Underground Expedition
3 Volkner's Philosophy

15 :water: Energy
5 :fire: Energy

The basic strategy is to bide time with Castform (who has 30 damage and sleep for 2 energy) and spread damage with Infernape while setting up Starmie (for energy recycling) and Walrein on the bench. Then bring in Walrein and plug away with Cold Crush. Vibrava can come in for a revenge kill with Energy Typhoon when Walrein is KOd and Gliscor can come in on things with high HP and use Cutting Turn. And yes i know Rare Candy would help but i dont have any :nonono:

Take out energy search and play Roseanne's Research instead. Try to add more Walreins; always try to play 3-4 copies of your "Main attacker" (man, i hate that term...)

Have you tried 2-2 Lumineon (SF) ?? Grab a basic from your opponent, make it active and KO with Walrein (hopefully). Plus it's a water type, so add 2 Dawn Stadiums and you're removing damage when you add energy. Just a few thoughts.

Also, try and focus a little better... you need Uxie or Claydol for draw... Having Infernape, a (sort of) Flygon line and Gliscor seems to muck things up a bit. Most people will come on here and tell you there are too many Pokemon and not enough trainers/supporters, so I'll be the first.

Good luck with your deck and HAVE FUN!!

Yeah i would definitely like to have more trainer cards, and the Dawn stadium would be great to keep Walrein alive. My card collection is still pretty limited... guess ill have to start buying boosters. What about an RR Glaceon to replace Infernape as a damage spreader?
