Long story short, im an actor and it's my senior year of high school and i have been in rehearsal for one play or another since october 1st. Therefore, i don't get to play much Pokemon cards in tournaments anymore and i get to practice even less. But, states is something you dont wanna miss so i told my director that i would not be at rehearsal on the 14th. However, i had rehearsal every night leading up to it, so i didnt get much practice.
Over the course of the week, i got to play a few games online with my testing buddy, but didnt have a solid list laid down of anything. So i just figured we would do something Friday night and figure out what we are playing. This was my birthday, but dfidnt plan on doing anything. However, my friends threw me a surprise party which was AMAZING - but this meant i didnt get home until 1am. haha. So at about 2am i decide whatever, im playing Galactic and throw together a bunch of cards and just go. I ended up with no uxie in the deck though, but played 17 supporters lol. So at 2:30 i just go to sleep saying forget it im just gonna play and see what happens.
I wake up and grab my stuff and leave because i overslept. On my way i realize i left my metal energy at home on my headboard. This produces two problems - i dont have metal energies and two - i have 56 sleeves with me...ilook on the floor of my car and under the backseat of my bug was a pack of majestic dawn eevee sleeves so i begin to sleeve while i drive lolololol. i call bernie to get 4 metals and then just keep on going.
I get there and registration closes in 3 minutes, fill out my decklist in line, catch up with ajay/drew and then get started.
Round 1 VS ? with Gardevoir/Mewtwo
I get a decent setup and he doesnt counter my Galactic HQ so his guys take a bunch of damage. HE sends up a mewtwo without leveling up at one point so i toxitank him for the knockout. I start drawing dead though and he sets up a plox. He night maintences mewtwo back and then sets him up. I cant respond with dialga g x at this point so im forced to just poison him with skuntank. he starts killing my stuff with giga burn and making a huge comeback. he gets to 4 damage counters so i send up dialga, play crobat to kill his gardy x on the bench with 12 counters, level up, and hit with second strike for 70 with poison killing mewtwo between turns for the win. GG

Round 2 VS Austin Reed with Kingdra
I wanted to play Austin but not this soon
. I got first but luckily have 3 basics yay. HE goes and plays 2 pokedrawers immediately lol so he sets up the t1 kingdra. The killer though is once he gets his hand down to 2 he plays a uxie, but since i had 3 basics in play i power spray it and this slows him down immensely. We go back and forth with my power sprays killing his draws and then i hit a dead draw spot. It goes down to 2-2 and i ko his kingdra to make it 1-2. He can kill my active, but dialga x's remove lost would knock out anything on his field so i take the game. GG

Round 3 VS ? with Skuntank/Mightyena
She does not get setup and i deafen her then second strike and just go aggro dialga X, ending with me benching her out around T5.

Round 4 VS Seena with Dialga Stuff
I dont wanna reveal too much of his deck, but the attacker is dialga so my croaks and tanks are useless so its a dialga battle to the end. I end up deafening for the first 7 turns and then he brings a dialga up. I'm able to kill one of his techs with crobat/skuntank/remove lost at one point to bring me up, and then he scoops because one of my techs takes out his dialga with 3 metals the next turn. GG

Round 5 VS Taylor with Regigigas
I get a bad hand he gets a great one with t2 gigas blaster. It goes back and forth but i get his gigas to 14 and have to waste 3 power sprays to stop his sacrfice because i couldnt draw crobat/roseanne to kill his gigas (he benched it). I finally kill it and then he gets another one. We forget bout his unown G and we remove 3 of his energy with my remove lost. I end up winning a close one in the end but it woulda been easier had he not discarded 3 poketurns from the top of my deck at different points with giga blaster. GG

Round 6 VS Steven with Palkia G Lock
I go supporterless for 6 turns, and end up almost scooping. But i topdeck a cyrus and get back into it with a dialga with metals. I end up 1 prize short of the tie when time was called. Had we played it out i woulda won. GG

Top8 VS Gigas from round 5
Game 1: He gets nothing, i power spray what little he gets, i win in 5 mins.
Game 2: I get nothing, he gets t2 gigas, i scoop in 5 mins.
Game 3: I choose to go second and know im pretty much gonna lose. He goes, uses call energy on gigas, i draw, and he realizes he forgot to set out prizes. Since he did a deck search its a game loss so i win. I didnt like winning this way but theres nothing either of us could do. WE play it out and as i suspected i woulda lost.

Game 1: I power spray his uxies, he never sets up, Dialga Sweeps.
Game 2: It goes very back and forth. In the end, its 2-1. I poketurn a croak, send up weavile, play croak/gain/psychic back. retreat weavile, send back croak and ko his active uxie. He's got 8 energy to aqua stream, so he ends up 10 short and toxitank takes the next prize.

Top2 VS Steven's Palkia G Lock
Game 1: I draw dead, but then hit supporters so i keep on going. I went through 40 cards of my deck without seeing a metal energy. This makes me lose.
Game 2: I draw a little better, but dont see a metal energy until about Turn 10, so its too late, hes done too much spreading. I lose
The dream is dead. Haha
Pretty good for a deck built at 2am with extremely limited practic though, eh?
