Was there a change in how they did the age division specifications?

Earlier in the season, I thought my son was going to be a junior for 1 more season (his birthday is end of September 2003 so he is still 10 at the beginning of this upcoming season). Now, it says he is a senior for the upcoming season because his birthday is in 2003. Did I miss something or some sort of glitch?

age divisions are determined by year of birth, not by age at the beginning of the season.
