I was surprised to hear that electronics can't be brought to tournys. I'd be interested to know the official ruling on this matter. Thanks in advance!

Rocket's Hitmonchan- I (ummmmm....) it helps my game w/o disturbing my opponent. (Wow, RH, you can't think very fast, can you?)

From the Pokemon 2004 Floor Rules:
12. Electronic Devices
Electronic devices are not to be used during a match. In some special instances, an electronic device may be allowed by the Tournament Organizer.
This means no cell phones at the table, no Gameboys, no cameras or PDAs. The most common type of electronic device allowed by TOs is an Electroflip.

BDS

Ultimately what is allowed or prohibited is up to the TO and Head Judge. Personally I would not allow cell phones, but an electronic watch would not be a problem for me. Ask the TO and/or Head Judge before the tournament starts to avoid any potential problems during play.

BDS

My guess at the purpose of the ruling is to:

* Keep people from asking for advice from out side players, through text messaging, records of previous battles, etc.
* Help kids stay focused on the game. I know play gets really slow when my opponent is trying to both play a TCG game and a Gameboy game.

Oh for a second I got a little confizzled and thouht you can't bring electronics to tournaments at all thanks for clearing that up BDS.So I hope to see the usual folks on the 23rd!

I'm taking Saturday off. Heheh, I'm going to sit at home on my lazy butt and watch Pokemon Destiny Deoxys and eat a bowl of popcorn. I might go to Auborn. Depends on whether or not I can get transportation.

Thanks for clearing that up BDS. I realize that I forgot to ask something else. What is "The Team that Keeps Beating Oregon?" That sounds kinda harsh, IMO. Thanks!

Eh I started that when I put it in my signature after a few Oregon players started to get a little overconfident judging by their signatures. Of course their sigs are opinion while mine is simply fact.

Man I wish I new how to make it all bold and everything like Ross has it!Well pretty soon it will be Team Washington AKA the team tha keeps beating Oregon and Canada LOL.Nah we never know but Canada's 10- will deifnatly be dominated by mwa!

Yeah, you better conquer Canada's 10- for Team Shadow. If you lose this one like Paul lost in his own dang backyard, I'll demote you to a worm! No Paul, I'm never going to let you forget that horrible loss.

Seth it is not my fault I lost at the game matrix, i just had horrible luck in the top 8 and Brian had the better chance of winning in my opinion. Well Jeremy, it is not that hard to make it bold. It is kinda true that we always beat Oregon, but somedays, they beat us but that is sometimes but it is mostly true we are the team that beats oregon.

Well, when you consider that out of all the trips they had last year at gc's only one or two were actually won by an oregon player, then the fact that paul seems to win a little too often in oregon. Then there's the fact that most of the oregon players stink, j/k.

Anyway, who's coming tomorrow, I'm finally making a return after this one month sabbatical.
