Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Washington State City Championships

Not sure what cities I'll hit...need to get the last of my school schedule set up (not sure how many more classes I need to take, hopefully just 1 if I'm lucky).

I am thinking the CC for Jan 6 at Blue Highway Games will be a great tourny for new players.....There are lots of new kids at this store...

Fantastic Pokemon weekend

David and Niki, thank-you.

Both Auburn and Lacey CC were run extreamly well and were a lot of fun to play in. (and I am not just saying that because I top Cut on Saturday and Penny did so on Sunday )

It was a great way to kick off the 2007-2008 City Championship Season.

You mean the World Champion actually won a city championship? Wow...

And what's with the 4 drops before the top cut (Masters)...? That's so wrong, you don't even know...

Yea we had two, 4-1's and two 3-2's in the finals after all of the drops. That really made things interesting.

Pfft, I was afraid of David Nelson, never Paul.

What??? My ranking isn't that bad, is it?

I went into the finals with a 1628 rating, but now that I look, two of my matches aren't showing points so it should have been higher. I only took 8.54 points from ArticJedi when I beat him in Round 2.

It seems that the Curse of First is alive and well. Other than Paul in Bremerton, the #1 ranked Masters has not won the finals.

Actually same here, I was more scared of MATHer. Something about huskies facing cougars this year really irks me.

Bremerton only had Top 2

Bremerton only had a Top 2 that is why Paul was able to defeat the Curse there. So whenever there had been a Top 4 you are right, Levi, Penny and David all were #1 seeds after swiss, for some reason there does appear to be the curse of the 1st. We will see what happens this weekend. (Or it could just be the curse of Paul J. as he has top cut 3 times and won the championship 3 times with 2 different decks)

Well I didn't make top cut in Lacey when Levi was number one seed after swiss was over, so the curse of Paul J. did not happen at that tournament.
