Corvallis, Oregon

Hello Washington Pokemon Friends,

If you're looking for something to do on June 12 and don't want to head to Marysville, consider driving down to Corvallis for our Battle Road. The Armstrong family is moving to Arizona this summer so Corvallis BR will be our last 'hurrah' in the state of Oregon. Moving stuff is expensive so we are cleaning out our closets and passing the loot on to you as door prizes. So, come on and drive to Corvallis! The Elks Lodge is a fabulous venue with lots of room, easy parking, and the Elks cook up a yummy lunch for $5. Beverages are just 50 cents.
It's been super getting to know the Pacific Northwest Pokemon Players. I'm sure to see you at Nationals and Worlds in the future. Not sure about this year with our move.

So Phoenix Games BR was today

I judged for the first time ever and handed Jerin the reigns as he went 4-0 in swiss with my Regigigas list. Then he played sabledonk in top 2 and after the 5 minute finals I was reminded why I'm through playing this year :D

1st Place Nestor w/ Sabledonk
2nd Place Jerin w/ Regigigas

results from downtown spokane battle roads on sunday:

1st: James with gyarados
2nd: Grady (me) with blastgatr
3rd: Robert with palkia g/gengar
4th: Brad with gliscor lock

i managed to go 5-0 in swiss, but james's gyarados is just to damn good >_<
also took blastgatr to a 9-1 swiss record over the course of the weekend.
great tournament!

Sorry Grady... and for the record so everyone knows it is Gyarados that mixes sabledonk so it was, gyaradonk .... yet another sableye donkey win... although I only donked 4 out of the 9 games and won 8, my only loss was in swiss to you grady and yesterday as well, just couldn't beat you in swiss ! Great tourneys both days and thx Terry for running these things... Julie thx for being a great judge and help.

How did it go in Lynnwood today????

^
pretty good. Only 3 Seniors. I went 3rd for some reason (1-2). I don't understand how I went 3rd, as the 2nd place player was also 1-2 with his only win being a bye. Was that screwed up or something?

Byes do not hurt you

Buys are strange. They tend to help you rather then hurt you. A bye give a a win vs and opponent with 50% win percentage and a 50% oponnents opponents win percentage. That is usually better them most players will get. You wer epaired vs my daugter Sarah whos only win was a bye so her win percentage was only 33%. I think that was the difference.

Comic Stop Battle Road in Lynnwood had 11 players today
6 Masters 1st place Ryan M
3 Seniors 1st place Matt A.
2 Juniors (that is twice as many as we had at this location last Spring) 1st place Cade R.

THanks to everyone who came out to our quick and easy tournement today.
