Where is this information from about the deckboxes?

I like the look of the packs, but for some reason it distresses me to have 3 of the 4 Pokemon have names that start with 'Z'. XD It's weird, I know.

Wavestripe, do you have images or proof?

I hope (even though I know they won't) they are better quality than the Call of Legends boxes. Mine fell apart very quickly.

All in all, that's cool and stuff...

Yeah. I feel your pain with the CoL boxes, they're a neat change from sleeves, but not without their quirks. First, I had to figure out that there are two ways that the box can be put together... one way easily allows a deck of 60 sleeved cards to fit, the other way not so much. (Bottom flap over the sides, vs. Sides wrapped around the bottom flap)

Then there's that pesky tab that secures the closed box... it tends to get stressed, leading to premature tearing at the tab's sides down to the front lip. If anyone else had this issue, I'd suggest applying a small strip of velcro over the site to avoid that problem altogether.

Gush-Darnit I hate the boxes. Mine was breaking so I said to myself "OK, I'll keep sleeves in it and put it in my closet before it breaks" and on the way to the closet I drop it and it broke -_- I need sleeves for Regs too :/

Sleeves are so much more practical, you always need sleeves, you only ever need 1 deck box. Unless your using these deck boxes, then you'd better make sure you attend every and any prerelease you can.

My entire flap broke off. One day it just decided to start splitting off from the side and now its merely duct taped on.

Sleeves aren't practical if they too fall apart after a single game. Just put my KGL deck in the Entei/Raikou/Suicune sleeves and they're now ruined.

My opinion? Give us something worthwhile for the Pre-Release or just scrap the extra items altogether to help pay for trophies for Nationals. I could do without sleeves that rip after a game or deck boxes that fall apart. Of course, some of my sleeves have been good; those have easily become my favorite. But I can't even describe how bummed I was about the poor quality of the Lugia/Ho-Oh sleeves. They looked.. so ... awesome... then fell apart... :frown:

For the person asking about proof:

Wavestripe's PTO mentioned that boxes were planned for the next I think 5 sets or so. Having worked with this PTO I have no reson to think he's being untruthful.

They need to go back to the LA Gigas/SF Noir quality sleeves.
Those were the BEST of all time. Never fell apart. Plain plastic with a design. My cardpool buddy and I had 5 sets of each and they survived us a whole year and a half never having to buy sleeves.

Since ~SV they've been printing the designs on a thinner foilish plastic that they put on the back of a silver sleeve.
These are the worst they've ever had. I can't conceive why putting the sleeves on the plastic of the sleeve would be and more costly than putting it on a weak separate piece of plastic. Since SV every time I've sleeved I've had 2-3 sleeve splits in a week. They only don't suck if you bridge shuffle.

I agree with you to a certain degree. Those were GOOD quality sleeves. But NO sleeves can be claimed as the best unless you are talking about the D/P Lucario Sleeves. Those things have lasted me for years and still going strong.

But what i do agree on is that around SV and on the sleeves have been absolutely horrific.

For my opinion - The deck boxes from CoL were complete garbage. They need to bring back the deck boxes like those were given out during the EX era. IE: Crystal Guardians Blastoise Deckbox / Holon Phantoms Zangoose Deck Box. Those deck boxes were 100 times better than what they give out now.

My girlfriend's deckbox from the last prerelease ripped in two during the prerelease itself. Either she doesn't know her own strength, or they're not the best quality boxes.

I was actually referring to the official site under promotional items. I don't remember totoro saying that though.
